Garbage... I hear it has a 700mh processor. That's a step back imo. We need phones that will compete with iphone. Right now, incredible, droidx and samsung galaxy-s is where its at.

well im extremely disappointed now...not at the fact that it was clocked at 800mhz...because the new 800mhz snapdragons are better than the old 1ghz snapdragons....but im mad Bing is on the phone, if its an app thats fine...but if they replace Google search engine...i going to be MADD!

1. This most likely won't be a Droid. VZ only has deals with non-Droid phones (Blackberry, the Fascinate, etc).

2. This isn't the Scorpion, this actually is the Merge. The model number was confirmed ADR6325. A search in VZW's inventory displayed the ADR6325 as the "Merge." We'll have to wait and see for a Desire HD port.

I'm completely passing this up. No new sense + <8MP camera + Bing is more than enough for a deal breaker.

That is the "merge" I think its called and it has a 800mhz processor. The 4.3" screen one should have a much greater processor.

I dunno, im starting to suspect that the one shown back in august(the one in the link) and the one that is being leaked out now are two different phones...i know they look exactly the same...but theres no way the specs leaked in august could be that inaccurate...ive never seen specs that inaccurate on any leaked phone...so thats what makes me suspect it...plus i dont get how the Merge and the Lexikon can be the same phone, it doesnt make sense if they were filed as two separate phones...the one in the link i posted is probably the merge(will be released later with LTE under a Droid name)...and the one that is being leaked out now is the Lexikon....similar to what Motorola is doing with the Droid 2....getting rid of the Droid 2 for the Droid 2 World edition, with GSM/CMDA capabilities(and a faster processor i might add)

No the "Scorpion" will have superior specs to our incredible at least on the processing end, and of course lte. I greatly prefer htc over moto, so I am awaiting something new north of the 1.3ghz mark dual core or bust. Cupcake, fruitcake, wake and bake, sure to skate.....don't really care about OS version...really am looking for larger screen, front facing camera and lte so I can really feel comfortable about leaving my laptop behind. Personally my incredible flies through tasks much better than my fiance's droid x but the appearance with that huge screen real estate has me wetting myself.

Hey guys, I would be willing to bet that the mystery device with the 4.3 screen will be LTE. The reason I say this is because we (VZW) are testing and building LTE in the Ohio market where I am working now. I am not sure when the scheduled punlic release is because that is not my end of things, but the vast majority of sites have been converted from T1s to EBH (Ethernet Backhaul), had the antennas installed for LTE (700MHZ), and many have the LTE BTS product powered up and on air now. The testing is with a USB device now but I see no reason for them to deploy a shiney new phone months from now that would not have LTE in it. The VZW plan is to phase out CDMA voice, much like analog was over time, thus freeing up XCEM slots in the BTSs for DOM-A cards and adding more EVDO carriers (what I am doing as I am typeing this post). Pre-15xx NBSS release on the Nortel platform you could only have DOMs in slots 3,8, and 10, but now all are ok. The end goal is IP based voice on EVDO-A and data on LTE. Just my opinion from the network side.
hmmm so you work for vzw. i see you work out of lewis center :)

I'm waiting to see what big red tosses out at CES in Jan. (I'll be there to check them out personally) I've pretty much told myself that I'm sticking with my DINC till I can get my hands on a 4G phone. I jumped from my LG Dare, to Droid 1, to DINC all within a year so I'm trying to ease up on my wallet a bit for a while and get my fix by changing ROMS every week. They're all so interesting!

No new phones for me either until a minimum of Gingerbread (2.3), LTE, 1.2GHz Dual Core, and a 4.3" Super AMOLED happens. I'm guessing probably Q2 2011. Until then I'll hold on to my Incredible. :p

Gingerbread is Android 3.0...not 2.3...but I agree, no new phone till has a dual core processor and LTE, but a 4.3in screen is too big for me, I like a 4in screen...also like I keep repeating, I want a flippin keyboard for gaming( unless anyone knows where i can get a case like this http://www.electronista.com/articles/10/09/06/nuu.intros.mini.key.add.on.iphone.4.keyboard/ )...also ill only upgrade my phone if it doesn't have Bing, so therefore, only if its a "DROID"

I thought Gingerbread was supposed to be 2.3 or 2.5 leaving 3.0 for Honeycomb. Of course its all just speculation at this point until there is an official announcement from Google.

I didn't like the 4.3 screen at first either. It seemed just a little too big. Now my daughter has a Droid X. And since I have been playing with that, I've come to appreciate the larger screen. But I'll never go back to LCD again after owning an AMOLED. The colors are vivid, the blacks are black, excellent contrast, and the viewing angle is much better than the typical LCD.

There's going to be two versions of 3.0...gingerbread will be for lower end android phones and honeycomb will be for high end android phones and tablets...and I dunno if you got the memo, but HTC is no longer using AMOLED, now they are using SLCD screens, even in the incredible
