I've had Android Pie for about 5 days and I have found that my battery life is dropping like a rock.

I don't ever have my brightness on more than like 20% and I have found I am losing about 10% battery life after using my phone about 20 minutes.

What the hell?

You use many jank drainers apps. This is not android issue or rom issue. Your phone is not debloated. Your deepsleep is bad too. Your cpu clearly no sleep correct. Debloat your phone from this jank drainer apps. Use adhell if no have root for debloat and freezing jank apps and service. If you have root change rom and kernel and beloat with titanium backup. The brightness is the last part who gives you the extra battery. If you dont clean your phone dont expect good batterylife. Note 8 is not a battery phone.

What is a jank drainer?

You mean junk drainer?

Which should I remove?

I am not rooted.

Its not even necessary to use a package disabler

The usage of nova launcher is not normal.

Did you do a clean install after the pie upgrade?

I run it with no battery issues. It lasts me for the whole work day from 7 to 5 and later on to when I go to bed.

I do see you use battery management apps that do nothing but waste more battery. It's more reasonable to use the built in one in Device Care or close apps you don't use. Also use Dark Mode. Lowers Battery Consumption and easier for your eyes plus it looks good.

I run it at WQHD+ and AOD On. No Power Saving Enabled

the Android update sucks! youtube has no on screen brightness or volume control now and the video scrubbing (ff & rew) is gone plus no more saving the video. the zoom on the shutter button is gone now for the camera...

My battery life is wack on Pie, honestly. I've tried fresh installs and apps like wakelock blockers, and I can still barely last a school day. I honestly think it's my battery in terms of its health. Stock Pie seems unoptimised to me.
Though it is known the whole "calibration" stuff helps, e.g waiting 3 days for the system to sleep things, or going 100 - 0 - 100 to see if that might help. It did help me for a while.
