It holds very well for me yet is easy to open. It is an interesting post and hole connection that I have seen similar versions of on other gadgets but never a watch band. Hard to say what the durability might be but hopefully will last until I tire of the band. Since it's a standard 22mm band there are many options.
Thought I might brighten your day by telling you that it's once again available at BestBuy, but obviously, when I check BB now, it's sold out once more. Luckily (for me), I was able to place an order a few hours ago.

I checked local stores and they don't show it in stock anywhere...I was hoping someone would have it because I heard store displays are going up.

Placed an order last night just past midnight when I saw it in stock,. Looks like mine got through? I haven't seen a backorder email and the status says "Order in process of being fulfilled." Fingers crossed.

Nearly ordered the Moto watch but I wanted the thinner band and it isn't available yet. I like the features of the Zen watch and the band much better. The 'relaxation' monitor (Zen) sounds interesting...

Crap. Now I have two coming. Ordered from play when it became available due to PTSD over the nexus 6 ordering FUBAR. An hour later I get a shipping notice from best buy with a tracking number but no date. Wait till I get home and the tracking number says Monday. I think sweet I'll cancel the play order. Go to do that and get an error that it can't be canceled. Hmmm... Call in and the guy says he can't change it . talked to a supervisor who talks to the shipping dept and they can't cancel it either. My sob story about being a loyal google customer (I spend a lot in the play store) holds no weight, only option is to refuse shipping and I'll get the money back in like a month or so.
I guess I understand about just in time shipping but jeez it doesn't move until next week. I'm spoiled by Amazon and I expect everyone to be able to do the stuff they do without difficulty. Too bad nobody in my family uses android, it would be an awesome Christmas present.

May potentially turn a profit selling on eBay, considering it's in high demand right now with limited supply... just a thought.
