I have the black and have kept it on all kinds of surfaces. After using ALL the high end phones, I must say I like the back of the ZL the best. Its textured, curved and grippy. Feels really good in the hand. DOES NOT gather any lint or dirt. The only thing visible is if you keep in on a surface with some liquid like water and whatnot. That said, its SUPER EASY to clean. Much easier than glass or aluminum backs with the added advantage of no chance of the back scratching.
And as for discoloration, I have had none yet. And as I said, I havent been all that gentle with my phone either

Since they're actually listed with Sony as an authorized dealer, I was able to get Sony direct to price match. Had to pay sales tax of course, but that should be offset by the 3k Sony Rewards points swag. Hopefully, I should also be getting the $100 credit for applying for Sony's credit card (was approved, but wouldn't work for that sale). So under $500 w/30-day return window, shipping tomorrow.. ymmv.

Last night (3/27), around 10 pm. I wanted the red version, but I got tired of waiting, plus I'm gonna use a case anyways so I went for it.
Really liking this phone (6506). I noticed when I changed the APN for "APN type" to default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri,internet the phone's internet dramatically improves. Also, did anyone notice that the SAR was pretty high on this phone .96 head, 1.47 body? Not that it matters, but I thought it was supposed to be very low.
I bother me a little when BLT listed as No return or exchange. Is that mean if we receive defective phone then we have to deal with Sony?
I doubt it but I am also not sure. I think they more mean that if you receive your phone and you don't like it then they don't want to deal with it.
Sweet! Thought my ZL from Sony direct was shipping with free ground and would arrive late next week, but my tracking says it shipped out last night from Chicago and will arrive with Saturday delivery =)
