I will be getting one - or at least I am currently planning to. I have been on a Nexus device since the Nexus 4G on Sprint. Ready to upgrade from my current Nexus 4 on T-Mobile - first non-Nexus device to catch my eye. Wife has been using the original T-Mobile One for the past year and I am looking forward to the upgraded version.
Nexus devices are nice, but you will enjoy the premium quality of an HTC phone. Nexus is like a Honda or Toyota, an excellent value, solid reliable, but HTC takes you into the realm of luxury, where there are fewer compromises and more attention to design and detail.

I will be getting one shortly after it comes out. I am content with where my M7s (silver and black) are at, with root, ROM, aluminum bumper and all. Time to move to the next toy. LOL!

I agree with you for the most part. My last HTC was the original Evo and I left that because I wanted updates to Android. One of the reasons I am not 100% sure yet is the HTC upgrade cycle/timeline. My wife's One just got KitKat a couple of weeks ago - last flagship device to get it I believe. Yes HTC has committed to 2 years of updates, but I'll believe that when I see it and how fast will they really happen?

Definitely getting one in 4 or 5 days. Had the last 4 HTC's and never had any problems and always worked. 2600mah battery fine, my one lasted all day. 4mp camera is perfect and should be even better. On screen buttons i'll adjust. Last to get updates, who cares? Way too many people complain either way. It is sure to be a big upgrade to the One.

No. This is not true. HTC One is the first to bring all updates last year comparing to Sony, Samsung or LG.
May be there were issues in the past. But with HTC One, the company is improved in this area a lot.
