This has been known for a long time. On screen buttons are confusing? To who?
i agree... they have done a complete turn around with updates. the GPE edition got its updates almost imediately, followed not long after by the unbloated us developer and unbranded european editions.No. This is not true. HTC One is the first to bring all updates last year comparing to Sony, Samsung or LG.
May be there were issues in the past. But with HTC One, the company is improved in this area a lot.
Believe me, I have contacts. This has not been confirmed. Just like the camera.
Its of limited use on cell phones though. Phablets, yes. But a 4.7" screen is pushing it and a 5" like the S4 is still only limited use in my experience.I'm getting one on the 25th! I see evidence that Verizon, and AT&T will both have it directly after the announcement! I can't wait to get my hands on it.

The one thing I think HTC needs to do next, is introduce their own version of multi window!!! It's the only thing I miss on my HTC phones, compared to my note3! I mean come on already, LG has it, Sony has it, Samsung......please, please, lol, give us die hard HTC users multi window!

I disagree bro. I've used it on the S4, and the Note3, and it was the same experience on both. Even if that is so, then the max should have gotten it, and it didn't. I bought the max, simply because I'm a huge HTC fan, not for any other reason. Its of limited use on cell phones though. Phablets, yes. LOL there are people who will skip out on a phone just because multitasking requires them hitting their recent apps and switching back and forth?I disagree bro. I'm just saying, if they did bring multi window/split view, they would gain those people that buy smart phones for that one feature. And I know people that like HTC, but rely too heavily on that feature to leave Samsung. If they did it, I guarantee more sales would happen. Just sayin bro.

I know y the ONE didn't do as well as the S4, u don't have to explain that to me brother. One of the biggest imho, is because it didn't reach Verizon until late! It's a fact, Verizon accounts for at least half of America. And yes, I do know people who love the ONE, for its build quality, speakers, zoe, blinkfeed...etc etc....but they want that multi window feature!!! As do I. I'm no sheep. I see something I like and I buy it. Because I can. Luckily, I'm able to have my multi window.LOL there are people who will skip out on a phone just because multitasking requires them hitting their recent apps and switching back and forth?
If it worked out of the box with every app, that would be one thing, but it doesn't. I'd rather switch apps than use a "multi window" setup and most average users are more confused about how to use it, why their apps don't work with it, etc.
Again, you're talking about a niche feature, not something that is going to be a huge selling point. What will attract people to the phone is its looks, its screen, its camera, and the boomsound. The ONLY reason the first One didn't sell well is because HTC can't make up for Samsung and Apple's advertising power. That's not going to change with the One 2014 either - unless HTC can get the advertising out there, they will fail again. Sheep buy what the idiot box tells them to.
Keep in mind, the reason the experience on the One is so smooth, is because HTC *DIDN'T* implement the gimmicks that Samsung did which make their S800 Note 3 laggier than the S600 One. HTC has the right idea with the user experience, moving away from the bloat of TouchWiz and their past with Sense.that runs all the way back to Windows Mobile.
That right there says it all. Slight increase. A slight increase is not enough to warrant the development and implementation of a feature that could easily spark a lawsuit from Samsung. LG's implementation is nothing to write home about, it requires LG's API to be built into the app in order to support it. I would not be surprised to see a Samsung vs LG lawsuit over it in the not-too-distant future.I think most peeps would agree when I say that Samsung multi tasking is a notch above everyone else. LG is getting it, why can't HTC??? That's all I'm saying bud. I believe, in my freedom opinion, that if HTC added a split view feature, they would see a slight increase.
Ya bro, I was wondering y Samsung hasn't said anything to LG yet about their almost identical version. Lol. But ya, I use it a lot. Nevertheless, I can see y they didn't add it to the ONE, but not the MAX. Theres literally no reason to call the MAX a phablet, other than it's "big...but beautiful" screen size. I don't know bro, I'm just wishful thinking now, but thanks for the feedback on the subject. That right there says it all. Slight increase. I'm not saying it wouldn't add value to the device but HTC doesn't really have a whole lot of room to release experimental features here. They're already taking a gamble with the changes they made to Sense as it is.
Doesn't OMNI support Multiwindow now? Might be an option to use it on the One.
You got a lot more use out of your multiwindow than I ever did. I found it to be a gimmicky feature, adding windows in an environment that was built to not have them. Seemed more like a step back than a step forward to me but I can see situations where it would be useful after seeing your examples.
