Why after installing LineageOS 14.1 does the system occupy almost all memory?

Hi,
the HOS has an internal memory of 16GB, the system occupies almost everything, is there any way to solve it, partitioning the disk or something? How should this ROM be installed?

ROM installed https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/development/7-1-lineage14-1-htc-one-s-ville-t3540981

The ROM together with the GApps open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico weigh 407 MB

All this memory is in use, I have no photos or anything for now, I installed it recently

If I use the DiskUsage app I can not access the SD

Additional Data: In the Development Options, I have marked in Administrative Access the option Applications and ADB, so Root Checker tells me that I am Root.

Sorry if something is not understood, I'm translating it with Google Translate

Thank you

Did you update to the semi-official 4.05.401.1 firmware (aka boot 2.16) before flashing the rom? The internal storage got repartitioned with the newer firmware. That's why older firmware versions aren't compatible with roms for hboot 2.16. They all suffer from the memory issue that you're facing, now.

Yes, I updated it before installing it with hboot 2.16, I even have SuperCID 11111111

You advise me another ROM, for example this https://forum.xda-developers.com/ht...-resurrection-remix-5-8-2-nougat-htc-t3588579 it is also based on LineageOS.

Would partitioning the internal memory before installing any ROM would be another option?

I'd suggest you to re-flash the firmware package. The original files can be found in the maximus HD thread. After that, please flash the TWRP version that is linked in my signature and then try flashing the rom, again.

Uhm, no. You linked a rom for the HTC 10. You can't flash roms for other devices on your One S.

Search in the dev section for the One S. You need firmware 4.05.401.1 (there's a typo in the Maximus HD thread due to which it states 4.06.401.1, there).

Great, I finally found the same firmware in another link uploaded by kalel77 http://llabtoofer.com/2013/09/15/htc-one-s-maximushd-10-0-0/ (Install Package.rar) I have not tried the previous link, I installed the firmware through fastboot with this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2570112 and also the TWRP, I put the ROM and the GApps in memory to Through recovery I installed it and...

Thank you, thank you, thank you I have installed 17 apps with surplus memory :good::laugh::D

The "install package.rar" isn't made by kalel77. It's made by llabtoofer. Besides, that's the archive that is linked in the maximus hd thread and that I told you to look for, all the time. It's just llabtoofer's own website.(Take a look at the URL.)

And the instructions in the guide you linked can be found in the maximum hd thread, as well.

Well, in the end it doesn't matter which links you followed as long as the correct firmware got re-flashed and the rom is working, now. I assume that you only flashed the hboot before trying the rom since there are more than enough faulty threads/posts/articles on the internet that only recommend doing that. The problem is that the firmware consists of more than the system (aka rom) and the hboot. If you're interested in some more background info you should take a look at the article I linked below. It's originally written for the One M8 but the general statement applies to the One S, as well.

Ah... sorry, I was in a hurry, I was late to a site and I do not look at the author of the file, llabtoofer, kalel77 is also here in the forum in Spanish htcmania http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=905593 I was watching one of his ROMs to try to solve the problem , hence the confusion.
Yes it is true that thread also has the same instructions. I already installed hboot 2.16 before installing the ROM, it is the first thing I did, I read that this ROM could only be installed with hboot 2.16.
Very interesting page to explain the differences between a ROM and a firmware, I will look.
Again thank you very much, you have earned a small donation.

A greeting
