There is something seriously wrong with how apps are loading on my sg s2. Can anyone tell me I need to changing something? I believe it has nothing to do with the apps. I never had this problem before. I will post below some of the legal information

Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version : I777UCMD9
Kernel Version: 3.0.31 - 1154545-user
Build number JZ054K.I777UCMD9

Sounds like something is eating up all your RAM. Install Clean Master from the play store. It comes with a RAM optimizer and junk file cleaner.

Thanks, that helped a little bit. Takes 5-6 seconds to open mx video player. Takes 4-5 seconds to open flashlight app. Is this normal for this phone? or should I try installing a performance enhancing ROM?

Edit: I feel like I just installed windows 10 on an original PC that had windows 98 installed on it, lol. Am I right or wrong in my analogy? I feel like my phone can't handle the latest android version. Maybe someone explain to me what is going on. Please help. :)

The galaxy s2 only has 1 GB of RAM, so the more apps you have the more RAM will be taken up. It's a slow phone due to that. Booting a custom ROM that's debloated and using a good custom kernel will help. If you want Android kit kat, then I suggest wizzed kat ROM. If you like AOSP/CM ROMs then slim ROM or jelly bam ROM is the way to go. Then of course you could always do a data factory reset on what you got now and start over from scratch.

Thanks. That makes a lot of sense. My phone doesn't have CWM. I found the wizzed kat rom on galaxys2root.com. Is it ok to follow their tutorials and use their downloads? A few minutes ago I was trying to install shostock roms because it was the most popular on the developing section for the galaxy s2. The link was broken and I tried downloading a dropbox zip file that someone uploaded in that thread, and I have no idea what to do with a zip file, lol, because I usually download tar files for ROMs.
