Why no 1Tb option on Note 10+?

I wonder why no 1Tb option on Note 10+, like on S10+? Also that ceramic option sounds very nice, and yet still missing on Note 10+.

You can add 512gb SD card, if you really need 1TB. I have 256gb SD card, where I store all my pics, 4k videos, backups and data , which leaves my phone memory free for programs only and actually I like that arrangement much better than having all 512gb on the phone: one of my previous phones completely locked up and wouldn't boot no matter what, had to hard reset it and lost all the data on it, but most of my important stuff was on SD card, so no big loss. BTW you could backup your phone to cloud, but not the amounts of data requiring 1TB phone, that would be impractical. I also think 1TB model doesn't sell too well, so for now they concentrate production on models that sell most, maybe later.

Well, I got 512 Gb version and added a 512 Gb sd card to it. I was just curious why S10+ had a version of 1Tb and Note10+ did not. UFS 3.0 is it seems the answer.

I've also added a Samsung 512GB Evo microSD to my 512GB 10+...however,

I'm using the internal storage as my primary and the external as a back up.

To confirm the Note 10+ is USF 3.0 correct?

The reason I'm curious is because some yt reviewers claimed that it wasn't 3.0... Which I thought was odd...

I agree with this. I use a 256 gb SD card which I have had since my Note 8. Have all my important stuff on the SD card, have all my apps on my internal storage. 256 card and 256 internal is more than enough for me. I have 2/3rds of my SD card full, but probably 80gb of it is MP4 movie rips that I could easily do without. My music and pics and other important documents (I use my phone for all my business purposes) are all on my SD card so I know I can keep that if the phone is fubared for some reason. Never had it happen yet (knock on wood) but will rue the day if SD card option is totally deleted on the Note line.

Looks to me like you're prime candidate for USB OTG, All you need is NTFS file system driver, inexpensive 3 TB hard drive or similar, proper wire and you're set. BTW 160GB for 30-50 min show sounds way too much, even 2hr Blue Ray movie doesn't take more than 25-35 GB.

yup, go with external OTG drive, I've been using 2TB which can be formatted right in the phone, no special cables needed just that little stock USB A to C hooked up to the drive cable:

The more storage the better I always say. I was a little disappointed that there was only the 512gb option. I had to go get a 1TB SD card to compensate. I store everything on the phone. And I mean everything. Movies, shows, music, photos, documents. I always use my phone as my main computer. I use my pc to play games. For absolutely everything else (plus more games) I use whatever my current Android phone is. And it's really hard to use anything other than Samsung phones lately for their performance and storage capacities.
