Why no 3-D camera apps using dual back cameras?

I'm just curious why I've never seen and can't find any apps that can use the dual back cameras to take 3-D photos. Is it a total lack of interest problem (3-D being so 2009) or an API problem (no access to both cameras, with only the manufacturer having access to the second back one)? I used to have the HTC Evo 3D and it was my favorite phone and I'd always hoped that the dual camera phones could be somehow used to achieve the same end (I know the separation of lenses was a few times greater in the HTC Evo 3D). TIA.

Our 3 year old devices do not do 3D, that simple. Demand a refund from eBay, for false description and claims on your Note 8.0 purchase.

Thanks. But, I'm an idiot on a couple of fronts. Apparently I posted in the wrong forum (I thought this was for the 2017 Note 8 (which I have), and had no idea there was another device with that name used here). And I apparently should have posted this in the relevant Apps and Themes forum or something instead of the Q&A one. But I appreciate the support! In this case I was fortunately not wronged by an ebay seller.
