Why no root

There has been a number of vulnerabilities announced in the past couple of days, mainly because of the release of the Pixel. My question is why none of these exploits being used to root "unrootable" phones. I understand these exploits can be used in malicious ways but most people just want to remove or disable bloat. I know someone will say don't buy a device hoping it gets unlocked but it's the save scenario as the Verizon Pixel. I am just hoping someone could tell me why the Moto Z (Verizon) seems to be left out in the wind when it comes to development.

It's not the same, moto requires an unlock token that's unique to each phone.
Pixel just needed the oem unlock command enabled. Which was easier to achieve.
Once the moto x 2014 was older Verizon allowed Motorola to supply unlock codes.
Hopefully that same scenario plays out with this phone and we eventually get an unlock method.
Don't expect much on the development scene though this is no nexus/pixel.
And even the unlocked versions of this phone have no custom roms.

I'm not knocking this phone one bit mind you, I get over 5 hours SOT and have disabled all the bloat using debloater.
I use pyrope browser and all ads are blocked.
I don't miss root using this phone as much as I thought I would.
And I use this phone as my daily driver.

Unless you haven't noticed it yet, there is root. You can check in the ROM section, and install @janjan his ROM, which grants you ROOT, OR you patch your phone with @erfanoabdi his patch for Force_Encrypt found HERE, or install the anti Force_Encrypt KERNEL or modify it yourself, found HERE. Then just flash SuperSU, and you should be just fine. I made a guide for the entire process in case you want, you can check it out HERE.

The OP has the Droid version that can't be rooted by the methods you are suggesting.
