Why should I give away my note 1 in a hurry.

1. After the release of jb my phone has become smooth.
2. Brick bug fear is gone, thanks to speedmod and philz who made flashing fearless and even pleasure.
3 . Battery life is good, if you appropriately select rom and kernel.
4. I don't find Black clipping in my videos when played in MX player pro, (I didn't try in stock video player yet).
In such case, why should I buy a new phone, just because new phones are released.
No doubt xyperia z and s iv are the 2 best phones as of today's choice.
But still just because they are the latest models should I buy?
I am not crazy about note 1, at the same time I don't hate it and it serves all my purposes.

Title is not relevant to what you are trying say... :p
I thought you wanted to tell people to sell the N7K. But the post is ditto my thoughts, it is serving my purpose. I probably would not buy other phone any time soon unless I break it.
Even if I upgrade, I'll keep the phone.

I'm having a hard time letting go of my Note. I'm not going to sell it, but i'm planning on buying a new toy very soon. It stands between the S4, the HTC One and the Xperia Z, but there's a problem. My Note is running better than ever, it has a new battery and frankly, CPU/GPU's today are getting so fast that it doesn't really matter which flagship device you get; It'll be fast no matter what. My Note's screen is still good, the size is still nice, the thickness is still nice etc. It's really really hard to choose a new phone that's actually worth the upgrade. No matter what device i end up buying it'll only be a little faster and a little slimmer. So, it boils down to design now. Which one is the prettiest.

I think that overall, the Note has aged very well.

Compared to today's standards, the screen is quite sharp, it's fairly fast, the GPS kicks ass, and it has plenty of storage. Battery life is where it does show its age. The CPU is inefficient and power hungry, and the screen sucks up a lot of juice as well...

same dilemma here. the note is still such a great device it makes upgrading to another phone seem frivolous.

The Note 3 would seem like a good candidate to jump to....but until then I'm sticking with the original note.

Note is the lucky device and we are lucky to have it.
Note has tastes not only 3 android flavors. But i guess uptil now no other android phone has given such a good productivity.

It was an experimental phone but with all features polished. I still love its screen and hardware. True for me serving my purpose.

Not in a mood to change until somethibg revolutionary comes or it gets broken.

Same dilemma with me. While I am no longer a Samsung fan, the N7000 is still a powerful, multi-faceted device. Nexus 4 is an attractive option but N7000 running CM10.1 is still the perfect combination in my opinion :)
