Heh Heh...bad rap indeed
Like many have stated, depends really on usage. For light use, including browsing / email etc the 7 could extend it's battery life to comfortable levels (6-7hours seems average). For those that didn't buy it for gaming / media, etc...why go with a tegra 2 device then? Curious...
The screen CAN'T possibly be compared with an iPad's...the 7's is similar to a netbook, meant to be viewed in direct line of sight (.ie single user, directly in front of device). So (and we tried this...) my wife and I can not watch a movie on it, sitting side by side on a plane trip. One of us ends up disappointed in the image quality. An iPad...or even our Galaxy Tab is a whole different story (hell, even our NookColor for that matter)
Please keep in mind, my negative statements aren't put here to bash or dissuade...merely to help inform, and to hopefully catch the eye of Dell for future products. (Yes, I emailed them my concerns / criticisms as well...I've always enjoyed Dell products, and want to again in the future!)
