i just don't the looks of the pixel. the design looks like every other generic phone that has come out over the last few years. i got the v20 for all the same reason others have already mentioned. i love the phone so far. even way better than my recalled note 7 which i hated so much. glad they got recalled.
Yea I returned the note7 myself.
Waiting for the unlocked v20 but I cannot stop thinking that I am missing the greatest phone yet.
All of the media is in love with the pixel.

So better camera + amoled+ better CPU. I don't know.
Also many say the DAC is just a gimic and in a away I am worried the v20 is a gimic.
I wish I could play with both phones to see the reaction time , feel, speaker and call quality and so on. Although the pixel is built by HTC and they always provided solid hardware.

wait. did i answered your question right?
Not sure.
I learned you like your LGs and that you used all Samsungs.
So you are a carrier or mainstream buyer and might care about the warranty and payments.

You didn't buy any One Pluses or cheaper zte/huawei brands so I know that you go for safe picks. The Alcatel was probably a cheap pick to use and dispose.
The pixel probably never interested you.

I should get the v20 and pixel xl by the end if next week. Then I will know what I like better.

Hi
Besides the price and the screen size, how is the V20 better?

Thank you for the help. I am trying to figure out what to replace my note 7 with.
Go take a look for yourself,VZW has the Pixel in stores now.
The V20 is available for a look-see via demo models & AT&T,T-Mobile,& perhaps now VZW.

It's all personal preference, all the Q&A here in no way can replace a hands-on experience.

You are right Sherlock LOL . well, except that the majority of those devices i bought it from third party websites such as ebay or amazon, thus , warranty never applied. But yeah, i like to play safe. The alcatel i bought it to use a second sim card but hey, in the end i gave it to tmobile to get the $200 so it served a better prupose hahaha. I have used ZTE and i used a oneplus >> both of them from my friends but i just didnt feel as comfortable as i felt with samsumg before they started removing some of the things i like in a phone such as (removable battery, IR blaster among other things) which is the reason i stopped buying samsung after the S6. That and the fact that i had my AMOLED screen from samsung devices changed 6 times because of ghosting , each on different versions of the samsungs including notes and S. That's why I prefer IPS screens and sacrifice the pure black of amoled screens and high saturation. (i already spent enough on screen replacements). I still have my 2 lg g3's and they still working EXCELLENT! I get 4+ hours of screen on time, and it last about 1 day and 14 hours if screen is off. And about 18 hours with screen off playing music. But i also still have my Galaxy s4, but that one i use it occasionally , usually i give it to my grandma so that she can call whoever she wants, so, im not flashing that much on it anymore. I believe the galaxy s5 is the best smartphone samsung has ever made (just my opinion).

Now, talking about the pixel, it just doesn't doesnt call my attention. 1) the look: sure, i always buy a heavy duty cover which most of the time covers about 85 to 90% of the whole body so, the looks might as well be the less important reason. 2) No micro sd card slot and no IR blaster >> DEFINITELY A NOT GO for this reasons!, 3) rear camera has less megapixels >>> i would stay with my lg g3 better or my s4 instead of buying the pixel then. 4) no removable battery: i always buy a spare because im the type of guy who is always ready>>> if you dont believe me you are welcome to check each cabinet of my car lol. and not only electronics.. And 5) price, it just doesnt seem like a $700+ phone. To be honest, it looks like they are being forced to limit the amount of features to be included in the phone and just putting the basics >> just like apple does>> which makes me place the phone price along with what i believe the latest iphone should actually cost: $400+ LOL (yes i have held and used the iphone 7 from one of my apple lover friends and after 15-20 minutes i came up with the conclusion that that device doesnt even feel like a $600+ phone, but more like a $400+ or even less.

call quality is way better than my note 3... on both ends. they say i sound so clear. the DAC u can tell its better, sounds more rich , more depth. its hard to explain but i do like the audio. im just comparing it to my Note 3, since the say all DAC are the same on all phones since this one.

Trust me, it was a HARD choice for me. I've had a Nexus 4,5,6,6p....but the pixel didn't do it for me. Just the guarantee of updates wasn't enough to make me spend the extra money and NOT get any "extra" features. I love the removable storage as now I can carry around my audio in FLAC instead of MP3, and I'm so looking forward to the DAC. I hate the way bluetooth audio sounds for music so I always go wired. Removable battery, while nice, I probably won't ever use...easier to just plug it in to charge rather than take case off to get to the battery. I also like the dual rear cameras...

I figure this is a test to see if I can survive without 100 different roms I can flash all the time......course, maybe I'll spend more time using, rather than "updating" my phone. :)
