Why wifi not working after flashing kernel but works after several reboots?

I flash several roms and kernels to my device but i don't know the reason why after flashing kernel wifi is not working .. but after several restart/ reboot wifi works..

It always happen to my device whenever i flash a kernel but i just reboot it several times until the wifi works... is it normal? or are there any explanation for that?


Note:
I also flash wifi modules with some kernels that requires wifi module.

It could be the Rom or your kernel. But i have used many kernels and never had to flash any wifi modules. Make sure your flash the modules correctly.

I recommend Kappa 1.6 for most ICS Stock based Roms but always check with the OP/Rom Developer.

Some kernels REQUIRE two reboots for WiFi to work ....It's specified by Kernel devloper ...because Stock kernel use WiFi modules from /system/lib and some kernels load kernel modules from ramdisk ...When you chnage roms ,you need to reboot ROMs twice for flawless functionality .Most ROM developers knowing issues with kerrels recommend it ...
