I've never used non rooted or non jailbroken phones. You get some nice additional features for free. Every company had phones with broken updates or other issues, if you wanna take things into your own hands and not be dependent on them, you know what to do

No issues here - have Nova Prime too. Have you checked your settings in Default Applications to see if Nova has been selected?1Nova Launcher fix
There is an easy fix for that mrsim. Go into main phone Settings (not Nova), hit Advanced at bottom of screen, choose Default app settings, choose Launcher, choose Nova Launcher.
