Now, my question is, whether it is only TP-LINK Archer T4U which can make a SoftAP under Windows or any other WiFi USB-stick can do the same trick? Does that depend on Windows or vendor's drivers and software?
So I assume I can connect my smartphone to my USB-stick equipped PC by 802.11AC 5GHz connection without any 802.11AC nearby routersWhenever there is only wired Internet connection, you can activate the SoftAP function of the Archer T4U after installing the bundled utility software, and create a Wi-Fi hotspot for mobile devices. This feature is useful when travelling to places where there is only one cable for Internet and mutiple people have to use the Internet.
