Wifi chip on sensation? Can you change it?

I heated for about 1 min with an air solder gun.
Try with some more time and more temperature

Wi-Fi problem resolved

I bought this Flex Ribbon on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150987280107...84.m1497.l2649 and changed it (this video is very helpful for that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q_KihDB4Og]).

Now everything works like a charm

wifi problem - heat it up

Are you sure that it is not a problem with the wifi antenna? Maybe the contacts are not being made to the antenna on the back cover.
If it is the chip itself then you are really out of luck.

many of us having the same problem of this pretty but ugly model of htc.. anyway i discovered that by heating the upper part of the board could actually return the wifi to normal BUT.. to certain amount of time only. it would stay say..36hrs. and it dies off itself again so we have to do the same process of removing the cover and blasting hot air for hair dryer into it... i was thinking of heating it with something else..see if it might works .. will tell ya fella soon..

The only thing it occurs to me is dilatation by heating and resuming contact temporary until disconnects again.
