FIXED:
Apparently the router had a reset button which I just dicovered hidden between the vent gaps, which has a different function than just pulling out the power cord for a minute or so. Now WiFi is working on my phone.

My phone won't connect to a WPA/WPA2 PSK WiFi network. It previously was able to connect (for 2 weeks), but since 6 weeks, it loops: scanning, connecting, disconnected. I have flashed many ROM versions and wiped all phone memory since (mainly for other purposes than this problem), but it still won't connect.

I have tried resetting the router several times without result. I can't access any more settings, because I live with other students in a house where the house-keeper also lives.

The WiFi at my university (802.1x EAP) and the WiFi at my parents house (also WPA/WPA2 PSK) always works properly.

I have searched through the internet and through XDA-forums, but none of the proposed solutions works, can be done on my phone or I am not able to try them because I can't access the router settings.

How about different kernels?

I'm running stock 2.3.4 with stock kernel. DoomKernel still has problems isn't it? I'll have to live with it till that's fixed. Already tried reverse tethering, maybe that will work.

It's not such a big problem, as I have my laptop near me there, but installing apps is quite a hassle this way (search for .apk, install apk with flashtool or move apk to sd and install).

I don't have a data plan, it's €10/month for 200mb, pointless for me, because there's WiFi at home, at my university and in the train.

So why did it work before? Does resetting the route solve the problem, I could just try it again...?
When you restoring your phone and after that making setup, then dont log into your google account. Install freshly new rom and directly try connect wifi. If i remember right i had to thiskind problem. And after i realized that problem was "google settings and thatkind stuff backup restore". I just uncheck this option and after that i was abel connect my home wifi. Before that i cant. :) give a try

Also didn't work, tried that the last time I reflashed.

Anyway, fixed it just a few minutes ago: apparently the router had a reset button, which has a different function than just pulling out the power cord for a minute or so. Now WiFi is working on my phone.

I am using recently acquired Xperia Pro. I get very weak wifi signals in my room so i bought a Thomson Wifi Repeater/Access point to extend the wifi signal to my room. My phone is now unable to connect to the wifi and keeps scanning, connecting and disconnecting. It eventually ends up with a Limited Connectivity noticfication meaning i am unable to connect to internet although get full wifi signal strength. I tried changing some IP configurations but it hasn't helped. Interestingly my Notebook PC is able to connect and maintain somewhat stable connectivity, although at times it too gets disconnected from the internet. I tried connecting to the Wifi using an iPhone and it too had the same issues i.e able to detect the wifi signal but unable to connect to internet.

I am still trying to find the solution to the problem and will update if i find a way out.

I suggest that you update both your phone software and the router firmware to latest possible version.

Let me know how it goes.

Fixed

Try to find setting on your router like "max number of peers" or something like that and change the value to maximum it can, maybe it will tell the maximum number. After that reconnect your phone wifi, and bless me:angel:

Had same wifi diconnect loop problem - solved

I had the same WiFi loop - connect/disconnect issue. Extremely disturbing.
It appeared out of nowhere.

Rebooted the phone and the router several times - no help.
Used WiFi analizer to check for interferring chanels - nothing special.
Changed the WiFi chanel anyhow - no help.
Reinstalled/uninstalled AT&T smart WiFi - no help
Removed my WIFi network ('forget' button) and found it again, including the password - no help.

I have the WiFi manager installed, but I sort of forgot to check it doing everything through settings.
Only then I found that my WiFi Manager is stuck on the update announcement screen.
Okayed it - problem solved.
Funny thing, I don't remember updating the WiFi manager lately.
Feel so stupid wasting 2 hours.
