Wifi only to 4g?

Dumb question but has anyone here been able to get their Wifi only xoom upgraded to 4g?

Theoretically its just the software, a sim and a modem card no?

No, there are hardware and connections missing as well. Why not just get a a 4G MiFi--I have the Clear 4G Wimax--unlimited data and hotspot for up to 8 devices. Works great here in Boston (lots of 4G towers). There's also the Verizon 4G LTE and something from Xfinity.

i traded in my launch day 3g xoom for the wifi version when sprint picked it up. did want a verizon bill when im with sprint. so picked up the novatel mifi 4g hotspot. works just great as mentioned above.
