Wifi Says "Error"

Hello My HTC Evo 4G LTE is rooted with custom recovery. currently on
software version 3.17.651.4.710RD
hardware version 0003
Android 4.1.1
HTC Sence version 4+
kernel version 3.4.10-g19136fe
baseband 1.13.11.0830
build number 3.17.651.1CL250500


Phone is completely stock i never had this error before and it comes and goes as it pleases.
ive flashed a stock RUU and even flashed CM still wifi error
it only goes away when i reboot and 90% of the time it only works for about 20-30 min

phones never been wet but its been dropped (has a cracked screen)

any help is appreciated

What exactly is the error you're seeing? And where do you see it (toast notification, notification in the status bar, etc)? Are other devices working on the same router? What band are you using, 2.4 or 5?

no toast notification's no status bar notifications it only says error if i go to settings then under the wifi thing. it says "error" and it wont turn on .

a few devices are on the same router. no clue on the band where do i find that?

Look under "Advanced" under your WiFi settings.
