HTC 10 T-Mobile variant:
WiFi seems to be connected, but sometimes there is no internet and it happens when device is just sitting on the table in standby mode. Other phones(Note 5, Moto X, Blackberry Z10) that I have at home don't do that.

I wonder if any of you guys having WiFi problems have tried removing any protective cases on the phone. Some cases may be reducing/blocking the signal before it gets to the antenna. That happened to me on a phone I use to have. I Had a really hard time connecting and staying connected to WiFi until I removed the protective case.

When you wake it up and start to use it, does internet come on and all of the notifications and such come through all at once?

I have seen what you described, but that was not the issues for me. The main issue was just I pick up the phone, than want to browse the web or go to play store and is seems that phone is trying to pull the info from the internet, but it can't. I can turn airplane mode off/on and internet seems to be working after that.

Hmmm I haven't dealt with that symptom then. I did have some Wi-Fi problems with random slow speed and I finally figured out it was both my router settings and speed test server, and it's been good for weeks with constant use in the same environment that was giving me problems. But it wasn't what yours is doing, hopefully someone else can help there.

yup, i seem to have very poor throughput. on my 5GHz AC router, all of my devices receive 100mbps down and 20mbps up. my 10 only receives 25mbps down and 15mbps up. this is on both 2.4 and 5ghz from about 2' away from the router.

is there any known solution for this?
i JUST ran an ruu to updater to the latest version. phone is US Unlocked Version.

I have ordered HTC 10 on Monday and received it today. I can't comment about WiFi yet(need to test), but Bluetooth range seems to be less than other phones. Basically on Note 5 I could leave my phone and go to my room, which about 2 walls from where I left the phone and I could still talk, although I could hear that I am far from phone. With HTC 10, if I go to the bathroom which is only 1 wall away from phone, I can hear popping/crackling already. I have made this test on 2 HTC 10 phones, one was T-Mobile variant and another one unlocked, which I recently got.

Update: Starting to notice WiFi issues and this time even if I was using the phone and then decide to launch a news app for example or play store...I get a message that there is no internet connection, but phone is connected to WiFi. At the same time I check my PC and it does have internet. So on the phone, I turn off wifi and then back on and it starts working again. My router is configured properly and worked with many phones that I had. I even restarted my router couple of times. Don't know what is happening with HTC 10.

I spent 2 + hours trying find out why my phone has WiFi issues. Played with router settings, restarted the phone multiple times, used another phone to test on 2 devices and looks like Bluetooth could be an issue. So when Bluetooth is off, WiFi is working fine and loads pages, Play Store or any other apps that need internet. When Bluetooth is on, then WiFi isn't good and many apps spin the "refresh" icon for longer times. I launched Speed Test app and Bluetooth was on and the testing was weird, took longer time to detect ping and slower internet speed. While testing I turned off Bluetooth and got better results.

Next time I have a weak wifi connection I will turn off Bluetooth and see if there is any change.

What radio are you using? Does it match the rom / firmware you're using?

I can't provide this info, as the phone is already packaged, but I have not done any changes to the phone. One was T-Mobile branded and another one I bought unlocked from htc.com recently. After many tests I have uncovered other issues with mic not working when phone switching from Band 4 to 12 during a call. I initiated a return and sending the phone back to htc for a refund. I will be using Galaxy s7 edge.

HTC really dropped the ball on wifi here. When I'm on the main floor of my house (using AC), my Wifi is fine. If I go upstairs, I have to put my phone downward or the signal gets flaky.

My M8 never had this problem.

It's really it's been several months, many complaints, and HTC still hasn't done anything about it.

My HTC One A9 has better distance/range performance than the 10 does, easily. Definitely an issues with the HTC 10. I also know, that signal bars don't mean anything, Apple users can attest to that a few years ago when it showed good range, and really, they were tweaking the range display to show higher than it actually was getting. They fixed it.

But, this isn't just a signal/programming thing on the HTC 10, it is a reality issue with range on my phone.

Just got this phone a couple days ago, no problems with the wifi. I was actually kinda worried since I was reading this thread and ordered the phone but it seems fine, the connection and speed were just like my previous m8. Maybe a bad batch from htc?

I used to have lots of problems with wi-fi speed when this phone was just out on the market, but HTC did a good job with the updates.

The last 3/4 firmwares fixed all my issue.
