Rate this thread to express how you think the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC's Wifi performs. A higher rating indicates that it has excellent range, throughput, and signal strength. Like when you're taking a dump in the bedroom upstairs, do your videos have to buffer or do they come through without interruption?

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

wcn 3990 is using wifi card. Redmi note 8 When pulling 4 teeth, this device sometimes drops to 3 teeth, but mbps speed is more than poco x3. I don't understand ?. I had mi 9 lite before, it has the same wifi card but its shooting is very bad.

I have a gigabyte internet connection and a Tenda AC23 router. My Poco X3 reaches about 620 Mb/s on 5 GHz band (obviously!) which is great in my opinion. The signal is full in all my apartment (55 square meters) with brick walls.

Last week I bought the Poco X3 NFC (currently not rooted on MIUI Global 12.0.4). Big beautiful phone, but Wifi is truely disappointing. As the pictures show wifi is buggy (it looses connection, then connects again, and so on) compared side by side to my rooted Redmi Note 8 Pro on debloated MIUI Global 12.0.5. The latter phone runs great, wifi is stable with 4 dents most of the time. Both phones are connected to the same router (2.4 & 5 Hz) at about 8 meters. I have tried everything from resetting networks, to router, etc. The problem only dissapears if I get closer to the router. I am considering returning the phone to Xiaomi.
On the left Poco X3 NFC, on the right Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Yes... same situation with my X3 European stock firmware 12.0.4

WiFi is ridicolous (5Ghz a real drama) but also with mobile data, H+ works 1/20 times, 4G or 4G+ in upload has a bandwith from 0,1 Mb to 1,5,Mb where other phone with same position and same provider has connection always > 15 Mb

I don't know if anyone with latest beta stable firmware 12.0.6 or custom fw has a lot of problems like us

Same here. I have two poco x3. One from xiaomi store online. One from ebay.
Both new.
The one from xiaomi store had software version 12.0.4 but I got updates to 12.05./12.0.6 and 12.0.7 right away. Didn't recognize wifi issues with 2,4ghz or 5ghz before the updates and not now .
The one from ebay has software version 12.0.4 and no updates available yet. It has issues with 5ghz wifi. When I'm near the router everything is fine. As soon as I walk to the next room it only has 2 bars left. Although it's just about 3 meters away. And if it lies on the table it disconnects and is not able to connect again until I lift it up again or go near the router. 2,4ghz wifi is much better.
So I don't know if it will work better after an update to 12.0.7. Or even higher with Android 11. But i'm thinking of returning it. It's just 2 days old.
EDIT:
I manually updated to latest beta? 12.0.7 build and I have full bar 5ghz wifi now. I switched to 2,4ghz before the update because of better signal strength and after the update it automatically used my 5ghz wifi again. So it seems to be solved!

On Ecuador my phone is unable to use 80mhz bandwidth, I've already filled a bug report and sent a couple of emails.

Link speed next to the router should be 866mbps, I can reproduce this by rebooting the phone in airplane mode but as soon as it reads the SIM card country code gets set to ec.

I can get my 75/75mbps bandwidth all the time but the phone should be capable of using 80mhz all the time since it's more airtime efficient.

The same network when the phone is on airplane mode

Workaround if 80mhz is not working in your country

1. Turn on airplane mode
2. Change region to United States
3. Turn off airplane mode
4. Fill a bug report

You need to repeat this each time you reboot
