WIFI TETHER ROUTER WORKS SPRINT LG G3 (LS990) Android 5.0.1 Kernal 3.4.0 stock rooted

This app is a must for me. It is the only way for me to have internet in my house or away from home. I use a lot of data so the built in tether option from sprint is not acceptable. I will cap out in 2 days. This app disguises the tether as mobile data and allows me to tether without limits. I pay them $150 a month for 1 line. It is justified.

So far so good but unless I can keep it up for an hour or more im still testing.

Turns out this is touched on in the devs Q&A section.
the post is referencing a separate issue regarding a constant popup but dev says it fixes the disconnect problem

Q: I have Lollipop Sprint Device, the connection is dropped after a few minutes
disable your power saving if enabled
select in app settings "HostApd Survival"
uncheck "Sleep Mode" and disable Power Saving / Energy Saving on your device
disable this service "settings>mobile networks>connections optimizer"

I have disabled power saving mode ...just in case
I cannot enable Host Apd Survival
there is no Sleep Mode option other than prevent standby
I have disabled the Connections Optimizer
also per that linked XDA post i have

Deleted the following:

/carrier/itson
/carrier/itson_enabled
/system/vendor/itson
/system/priv-app/<anything with "itson" in its name>

WIFI TETHER SETTINGS:
interface wlan0
method 2
prevent standby
thats it

So after lots of headache I have managed to get this to work with these settings.
interface wlan0
method 2
prevent standby (checked)
everything else unchecked

do not add ,dun to your apn
if you did like me....remove it. doesn't seem to help. just adds the default tether option.

so far so good I already hit the 5Gb data limit on the built in tether and this is still working. Data transmitting. Data receiving. Best of all it is staying on.

Be sure to reboot your device after you configure Wifi Tether as well as after deleting the files and or freezing apps.

I will update if something goes wrong.

Ultimately I believe the issue was a mixture between the itson files and the connection optimizer

using a root browser.

Also mine just broke again after I updated supersu. Had to roll back the supersu app to get wifi tether router to work.
