I have the wifi version and it is running nice and smooth. a little slow but nothing bad

I just want to know if anyone have the LTE one so he can share his or her experience with us? I have couple days to return mine so if the LTE is faster and better in term of performance I will get the LTE one? Any one can compare the 2?

Lte has the snapdragon 800 chipset which charges faster than exynos. I'm dying to find it. Only heard rumor Verizon March 6th version. I don't want Verizon. I want unlocked one...would love it if anyone knows. Sorry to have hijacked your thread...

I dont want a contract. I tether my phone too if Im not on wifi. I just want the snapdragon 800 chipset version and its only in the lte version. it chargers faster than it uses, so you can actually plug it in and it not be discharging like the exynos version does. I have the note 10.1 2014, which I love but the battery recharge and it being microusb and not micro usb 3.0 like the other new ones, i dislike as well. I like that the charing port is on the side as I dont use a dock that need to plug in on bottom. Just my personal preference really. I have sprint and If its worth it I would consider adding it to my family plan, but thats a big if.

thanks for the responses

Verison is due to get the SM-P905 on March 6th, so it is the newest model. It wont be cheap.

Considered this prior to my wifi purchase as well. After spending the last couple of years testing builds by pershoot for the Verizon galaxy tab 10.1 and not having any options for custom ROMs for it other than plain stock cm10/11 I have no desire to take a chance on a device that will have limited development for it. Given the price of these devices I decided to go with the wifi version figuring that's the best bet to get custom ROMs in the future. I guess I'm spoiled by nexus devices, waiting for updates from carrier based devices sucks balls.

It's not what my research has suggested. Snapdragon 800 has quick charge 2 0 on chipset. Like note 3 charges fast..same idea

Your research isn't correct I've used it while it's charging. I get that the snapdragon is faster but the exynos on the 12.2 at least will not discharge while plugged in. How long it'll take it charge I dunno, but it won't discharge.

I suppose you could be correct. My research included YouTube review videos, multiple different ones, and articles that spoke about differences in chipset and battery drain while using. I'm sour because my personal experience with note 10.1 2014 wifi. Performance is great, no issues. I have it rooted running clean ROM v2.0 R2 w/Bindroid custom kernel v2.0 and twrp recovery. I've been using it streaming shows and heavy browsing. I should have to constantly have screen brightness at super low to get any life then it won't recharge while be plugged it. It uses more power than it takes in and that is what I'm trying to figure out.

Honestly I'd rather not spend the extra money but I've heard multiple people say they wish they had waited for lte with snapdragon version.

Verizon is releasing it March 6th...no clue the price since they rope you into a contract for 2 yrs.

I also read that the LTE version has 4k video play capability whereas the wifi version does not. It's not a concern for me. I'm stickin with my wifi version(mainly for update reasons). I can also attest that the Pro does charge during use, not to fast but it does not discharge.

I've got the LTE version in the UK and I am pretty happy with it so far. However, there are some software bugs which aren't yet ironed out and will require a visit to a service centre for a software update at some point. The issue is the device is 'so new' Samsung technical support don't yet support it or can't even register it on their systems yet.

A few people mentioned charging, it is pretty quick to charge but only via mains plug. I have tried through a PC and it doesn't charge at all (USB 3.0) and also won't charge through the USB socket in my idapt charger. Battery life is pretty good to, 30 mins of netflix streaming reduced the battery by 7% and that's also using my bluetooth headphones.

The device runs really quickly, no issues with lag and it does seem to handle 4k video.

I don't have a wifi only version to compare it to but I am impressed with the LTE one. Strangely it also functions as a phone!

It has you pick a phone number so I'm guessing it has call features.

750 on 2 yr contract
850 no contract

Cheapest plan is $10 per line and $30 for 4G for total of $40/month seems decent. I assume wifi doesn't count against you. Very intriging...may grab one on the month to month plan so worst case I have the tablet I was trying to get...lte version.

I just came out of Verizon and switched to T-Mobile. I wish AT&T or T-Mobile would launch this also. I may end up just getting the 64GB wi-fi, at least I know it's hackable. What's interesting is it looks like the frequencies on here may be able to work on AT&T and T-Mobile. Maybe not the LTE, maybe HSPA at 1900.

fast charge or extra 32gb?

i am choosing between 2 models: p905 with fast charge option and p900 with 32gb more than previous one. i would like to hear the opinion of experienced users cuz never had any tablet before hence don't know what option is more significant in routine usage. in addition, i am definitely sure that never gonna use LTE function therefore in is not an advantage for me.

thus, the question is what to prefer: fast charge (is it really much faster?) or extra 32gb of memory (does it really matter for tablet?)

also the rumors tell that probably p905 with 64gb is coming soon (although, how soon and whether it will come at all...)

Can't comment on the charging speed, but Snapdragon is an awful lot more compatible with apps and games than the Exynos. (Oh they'll run, just not smoothly.) And more powerful. If you're intending to game on this thing, go for the Snapdragon. (That's what I did. No LTE until at least a year after purchase in my area, not to mention they don't do multiSIM yet, but I bougt the LTE edition anyway, for the Snapdragon.)

As for the 32GB extra... well. Thats what we have 128GB MicroSD's for these days. ;) Keep the apps on the device, and the data (music, vids, pics) on the SD. Works for me with over 300 apps.

Yeah getting the snapdragon processor is the better reason to get the LTE version than fast charging alone. Battery life on these things is great so unless one likes to discharge fully each cycle or really pushes for several hours of screen on time daily charging will likely start from a reasonable percentage and be done soon enough.
