This is what I got off the STK online support when I asked about help for a screen which keeps freezing. (It's fixed itself somehow :) )

"Wileyfox is now part of STK. Not all of our processes are up and running yet as we are still transitioning, but we are here to help as much as we can. We have been pushing for support on as many of the older devices as possible, however it is yet to be decided. We are working tirelessly to get everything going again as quickly as possible but, as I hope you understand, it takes a lot of time."

This was last week.

Still no news though.
I think the wileyfox website is almost finished as you can see now 'wileyfox website uses cookies etc' in their website. and I guess once the website is launched again, the Oreo update will be released. But for now we can't do anything but waiting....

Translation: we have entered into a partnership with STK, which means that we have continued as you are used to from us. You can expect the long-awaited update to Android 8.1 from us around mid-April.

I'm having the screen problem too, will just stop responding, usually during gameplay. Generally OK otherwise. A solution would be nice.

I did the usual when I have problems of a factory reset and all ok again.

Looking forward to seeing what the new guys bring with Oreo. Hopefully

It's the end of april, has anyone received the oreo update yet?
It's always amazed me how poor these companies are with communication. All it takes is a quick tweet etc just to say that things are progressing or delayed etc. So far STK seem to be exactly the same as the others. Actually didnt sell my Swift 2x as wanted to see what would come about. So far, new website and zilch else. One piece of communication would sort all that.

Since the "takeover" I have been keeping an eye out on STK and their website. They have a 2x type model available for preorder. Am sure it had been to be sent out in May but now that has changed to June.

On top of this we had the messages that Oreo update would be mid April, then end of April and now mid May.

Phone works ok but was close to moving on. All STK have to do is communicate with the users. Feeling nothing changed really.

In fact I believe Wileyfox did better at communication early on. They had a team of people on several tech forums who were there simply to communicate with the user base. Too bad this isn't being reinstated.

Problem is... releasing Oreo for Swift 2 range doesn't earn them any money, all it does is stop Swift 2 owners from buying a new phone (perhaps even a new Wileyfox) for a few months.
Only upside for them is gaining a fanbase built upon good updates to existing phones - but it kinda feels like the damage has been done on this front.
Swift 3 should be a 5.5 inch 18:9 with small bezels, based on Android One. Ideally something similar to the new BQ phones that I'm keeping my eye on.

Spot on. Came over to Wileyfox from Nexus. Google had a massive fanbase before they messed up with Pixel and went for the apple people.

Keeping people happy can be as cheap as a tweet every now and then.

Like Android One ideas :)
