wileyfox lineage 15.1 charging problem

yesterday I installed lineageos 15.1 on my Wileyfox Swift plus (lineage-15.1-20190117-UNOFFICIAL-marmite.zip). SInce then, the screen says 'Charging rapidly' and reality says 'no-no, you will need a day before the battery is full again'. I tried different USB cables to no avail. Not only the phone is not really useable this way, but it also makes it more difficult to tinker with various builds, as you need a full battery before you can experiment.

Is this a known issue with 15.1? Should I go back to Android 7.1?

After some more experiments I found that a Huawei super charger would rapidly charge the LOS 5.1 phone. The old charger, a 2..1 Amp charger that worked before, now only would charge very slowly. A charger in the cigarette lighter socket of my car, that used to charge relatively slow, now discharged the phone real fast. But all would have the message 'charging rapidly' on the screen.

I think I see a pattern here.
