Will putting a case on the Pixel XL affect NFC? How about a really thick case like an otterbox? Any case suggestions? Thanks.

I use a Seidio Surface case and NFC and Android Pay work just fine with it.
I have an ottorbox on mine and I use Android pay with no problem
It depends on the case, even plastick thin ones
It really depends on the case - I've bought Chinese plastic case and it stopped working, it took me few weeks to realize what's the reason, but when I took off the case it started working again. So need to check for each case individually (mine wasn't really thick so be careful selecting one).
