Will cases scratch the phone?

Hey guys, I've never had a phone that had chamfered edges and I'm a little worried. Do you guys think cases will scratch/scuff the edges from taking it out of the case? I've just seen too many phones with scratched on the chamfered edges and it's an eye sore!

Nope.
Most cases are plastic which will not wear on the phone.
Do make sure you clean the inside of the case each time before putting it on as sand or other silicate particles can scratch it and often end up in corners.

If you've seen the iPhone 5 with the chamfered edges you'll note that many of the cased devices look as good as new after 2 years where as the ones with no case are the ones with scratches all over the chamfered edges, coins and keys will do that in no time.

Did it scratch with or without a case?
With a case on. I didn't have as bad of a time as others did. I'm very very easy on my phones. I owned the developer edition note 4 and was very careful. But still managed to get some light scratches. I have OCD when it comes to my phones..lol I was upset! When a buddy pulled his case off his after two weeks and had several light noticeable scratches. We'll see soon enough how these edges hold up on the 6p. I'm not sure if the note 4 has the same material as 6p. I hope not.

The note 4's chamfered edges scratched easily. This is one big factor for me picking the graphite color. Hopefully, all three phones edges are resistant to scratching easily.
Wouldn't the black show it more? The scratches will show up silver won't they?

That's exactly what I'm worried about. I'm beyond OCD when it comes to my phone!

Possibly, but I'd be more concerned with the chamfered edges. I think the frost and aluminum edges could be the two that show the most. They have the shiny edges just like the note 4.

A softer material won't scratch a harder one, so the case won't scratch the phone. Its the dirt that gets in between which will scratch it. Take it out of the case, clean them both often, and you should be good.
You'd think that would be the safe way to go but the note 4 is very fragile on the edges. I'd be very concerned when removing my case from the phone. Most note 4's for resale will say they have scratches on the chamfered edges.
