Will tempered glass on the finger print reader still work?

I have seen tempered glass for the finger print reader on eBay but wasn't sure if it would render the reader useless. I already have a small scratch on it that I have no idea how it got there as I baby my phone. Anyone tried it yet?

It's not covering the senor? So it would work fine

They have 2 options. One with and one without the fingerprint sensor cover. But at a $.20 difference, I would just buy and see if it did or didn't work
