I believe the Nexus 4 16 GB has faster storagvwhen compared to the 8 GB will we see that with the 32 GB Nexus 5?

This can happen in SSDs. On the phone without knowing what type of controller tech is being used with the nand it's hard to say.And why do you believe that?
This is easily proved by benchmarks that show certain higher capacity SSDs earning higher speed benchmarks than the same models in smaller capacities.

See how the 840 Evo in 1gb beats the 840 pro 128 ? ( basically the evo is the step down from the pro line. But increase the capacity enough and it beats the Pro. )
But like I said I have no idea how the actual nand and what the controller setup is on the nexus 5.

seriously I would think the other way...with sd cards it is known that the biggest cards are by far Not the fastest ones.
curently the fastest One are 32gb Versions.
taking that....I'd think that the bigger the space the slower it is.
but hell...WHO cares if they use anything like in my Xperia z tablet.
60mb/sec read and something like 35mb/sec write is twice as fast as in my samsung note1.
that really makes a difference.

in both case of traditional hdd and nand memory, bigger usually means faster, especially for nand memory.
More capacity usually comes with more channels, hence more simultaneous read/write operations.
I know it highly depends on the design/specification of the controller. But in NAND world, it's safe to say the statement holds in 99% of all cases.

but since 32 gb cards are the fastest currently chances are good that speeds will be ok for the model I ordered
Sdcard are generally slower than internal flash memory, why do you think nexus devices do not come with sd slot, this is one of the reason. well this has happened but it is very unusual especially with quality Made products.
but i think the storage is the Same built. just without the way via the sd card Format. the Chip is the Same i think.
it would be so easy if people with nexus5 would care to Test.
I dont really do that much. that is why I repeatedly say either the 16gb Version as the 32gb Version will be fast enough.
in fact how much was the difference between tbe 8gb and the 16gb Version on nexus4 btw?
but i'd the difference will be smaller this time since 16gb cards are pretty damn fast too.
probably the controller of the phone itself may cause a bottleneck where the Performance gets cuttedmso the may be even no difference at all when it comes to nexus5.

This is 99% not the case. The internal NAND chips have faster random read/write speed than the chips in sdcard most of the time. The controller in the sdcards are also slower than the build-in ones. In the case of GS4, the internal NAND is 6 time in random read speed and 3 times in random write speed of a class 10 sdcard placed in the sd slot.
in that case the sd card reader of the s4 is veeeeery Bad. cause the sd card in my Xperia z makes it above 40 mb/sec.
the internal storage though is still faster at something like 55mb/sek.
then there is the fact that you obvioulsy forgot that there are uhs-I cards that we can put in our sd card slots...I got One of those!
you shouldnt compare Ferrari with beetle to proove a point which only is true by Part.
finally there are sd Format cards available with speeds of 120mb/sec. but the sd controllers in our handheld devices are Not yet able to read them. So six times makes the internal Memory of the s4.....600mb/sec.
now thats fast. just because you dont Know something doesnt meant it isnt there!?
chinese tablets indeed have (the ones i Know) that Bad internal Memory that in fact a good sd card is faster than the internal Memory.
we dont Know what quality Google has told LG to build in. i just hope is somewhere like what is in Xperia z.
You are quoting continues read/write speed in the best case scenario. My test is small file random read/write which more like real day to day operation of a smartphoe. With a ush-i card inside, GS4 benchmarked at 13mb/sec and 7mb/sec. The same test performed on the internal is 71mb/sec and 40mb/sec.
