I saw something similar at my local tmobile store. It was still pretty thick so I wonder if it's the same thing...

If you order it, let us know how it looks! Currently, using a speck pixelskin, but if this is thin enough, I'd gladly change for the extra battery life. :)
i ordred it and will let you know when it arrives. what happned to the jan update from microsoft?

what about this ?

//cgi.ebay.com/MCA-1500-mAh-Battery-Charger-T-MOBILE-HTC-HD7-/150530626293?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item230c5312f5#ht_1847wt_1141
bought one of these, tried and tested it. it somehow lasts longer than the stock battery that came along with the phone. but im not sure if its not doing the phone any harm while in use.

What u are seeing about better battery life is just nothing.and there is no way u have a 1500 mah battery in 1230 mah battery size. Its a scam, because 1500 mah batteries are just larger

Yr phone os keeps track of charging cycles. Over time this becomes inaccurate, in fact the inaccuracy may be escalated after every major os upgrade .
The os in the phone also loses track on accurate battery reporting due to the aobve reasons.Tis is why yr stock battery seems to drain faster after a few months.
3 reasons why its not lasting longer than its used to

1) cell degradation
2) inaccurate battery level reporting by phone
3) both

When u pop in a new battery, whether its these cheap china batteries or original ones , the phone sees it as a new battery and the os recalbrates itself. And even though the new battery may be lower capacity, it gives a placebo effect of longer lasting. This is the case if u got china batteries. But i wouldn't trust mugen either. The whole fact is that u are using a new non degraded battery and it's giving a placebo effect when comparing to the older battery. Its the above 3 reasons which makes yr older battery not last longer.

Of cos it can be proven wrong if the replacement battery u got was of higher quality or is better than the original oem version.in this case the battery may be using better high quality cells or has better circuitry

Whats the solution? Charge yr existing old battery in an external standalone charger and do not charge in the phone . Then put it back into then phone and os will recalibate itself.

Another thing u can do is completely deep discharge the battery and keep it unused for a few weeks.
Then full charge it again and the battery will be rejuvenated to original condition.Of course u may need to use another battery to use yr phone .

Due to popular theory say that it keeping it discharged for long periods of time will ruin the battery, this is true for new batteries that have not been charged to 40% but not for one that has been used .
When u first got yr phone, the battery has been dormant for months inside the retail box anyway and this didn't not ruin the battery , did it? Because the is still a 40% charge in it .

As there is still a good amount if charge left in the battery, after a few weeks they completely drain and when u charge again , the battery will be charged to its full potential and the phone will read it properly now and adjust itself accordingly.

That has got to be the worst advice I have ever seen on this forum and the perfect way to kill a Lithium battery. The whole point of manufacturers charging the battery (even to 40%) before storage is to ensure that it does NOT run flat while on the shelf. Deep discharging the battery and then storing can result in the cell voltage dropping below the minimum limits allowed by the internal charge management chip which will then for safety reasons prevent
recharging due to the risk of physical cell damage.
The reason there is a 'popular theory' that Lithium batteries should always be stored with at least a partial charge is because it is true!

Th emugen is is only 1300 mah battery not 1500 mah

Anker and seido dont advertise their batteries as 1500 mah although they look the same as mugen

Mugen 1500 mah is scam. Beware. They are the same 1300 mah as seido and anker but u are paying 2x more $$$ for mugen.
