Will wireless charging work with Otterbox Defender case?

Wireless charging works with ALL Otterbox cases.

It didn't work for my S7 in a Defender case although this might say something more about the charger which I suspect was not genuine. Does this blanket assurance only to genuine Samsung or other certain type of wireless chargers?
Worried now if I invest in another one for my S9 also in a Defender case will charger wirelessly if I buy a generic after market wireless charger.

Hmmm. Might be on to somthing. Wireless charge has worked on defenders on any model of phone ive had wireless charging on

galaxy 5 note every time even if only half on the plate
both are in defender cases
it says it has 8mm detecting and charging range
look at the charging range and coil configuration

Correct, the ask is, "Will wireless charging work with Otterbox cases?" So far I have not found this to be true.

Some Good News

It sounds like we have the same case for our S9s. I recently bought the 2018 WiFi charger from Samsung and love it. However, the sweet spot does exist. You place the phone in the cradle and it starts charging. Some time later I look and the charger LED is blinking "Red". Remove phone, let light clear and replace closer to the sweet spot.
