I`m trying to root my Note 3 so that I can install TWRP and flash a custom rom. but on multiple PCs now, windows gives a "USB Device Not Recognized" error preventing me from connecting it to Odin3 to flash the CM-Auto Root file, Also the USB menu does not appear at the top of the phone screen. Now what puzzles me, is that a few months ago, I was able to do this just fine without flaw. But I had to re-flash the factory ROM because I was lending it to a family member. so when I got it back, I booted into recovery mode and wiped the cache and data partitions (As I always do.) and after setting every thing up, it now won`t connect to my PC or even display the "USB Options" menu in android. Btw I'm running 5.0 lollipop right now.

but how am I supposed to do that, when windows doesn`t even recognize it in download mode. As I said, I did try it on multiple computers running windows 10 with no luck. Not to mention, I also tried multiple USB cables along with the original OEM one. However, in download mode it said "KNOX WARRENTY VOID 0x1 (4)" so has tripping knox prevented me from being able to install TWRP or ROOT my phone?

I understand that you cannot get a computer to recognize the phone. I was just letting you know that installation of TWRP does not require a rooted phone.

Tripping knox will not prevent installation of TWRP or a stock ROM.

Since the phone is not recognized on various Windows machines with different USB cables, sounds to me like the USB port or USB flex cable is damaged.

Thanks! Now that I think about it, my phone has also been charging extremely slow even with a new battery and the OEM charging cable. So it looks like I will be getting a new charging port assembly to install.

Also, just peaked inside of the port and there appears to be some sort of corrosion in there. So hopefully this should fix my problem.

No, not to my knowledge. I don't know if it actually is corrosion, it just looks quite bad in there. I ordered a new port because my phone finally stopped charging yesterday.
