Good evening. Thanks for the wonderful tool that made "Google-izing" my kids' Fire tablets so easy.
Everything seems to have worked well, but I have a question. When installing the Google Assistant, I've noticed the voice prompt/recognition doesn't seen to work. I'm referring to the "Hey/Okay Google" voice command. Is that supposed to function? After installing through the toolbox, I get the 'Assistant' icon/app that works the way I would expect. However, when I try to 'Unlock more Assistant features' (at the bottom-left of the Assistance screen, by hitting 'GET STARTED' i get the following error:
Trouble Connecting
Check your connection and try again
I've also tried accessing this from the Google app and going to Settings | Voice | Voice Match. When trying to enable 'Ok Google' it takes to me to the same blank screen and them times out (or whatever) and presents the same error.
It's not a huge deal, the kids can press the Assistant icon when needed, but it would be nice to have the keyword functionality, if it's supposed to be available.
Thanks!
