u r hitting where it really hurts....all the freedom with win mo, but can't beat iphone.

It is like having a car with the hood welded shut (iphone) and a car where not only the hood can be opened but all the pistons, valves, manifolds can be replaced(win mo). Yet our car gets beaten when it comes to a drag race.

That's not a bad comparison. However, it's flawed. Even though we can soup up our "car" because of the open car hood, there's a possibility that the ECU (the software programming for vehicle air/fuel ratio and other things) is programmed completely wrong.

As a result, our "car" may not even start the engine at all. As a matter of fact, our ECU isn't reprogrammed to exploit the highest capabilities that our new hardware allows. That's why you want to put your car on a dyno with a professional tuner working on the ECU program after you soup up hardware-wise.

Don't worry koumpare, everybody knows that the video is a fake as many sites proved it by using remote connection from the HD2 to the WP7 emulator...

You know guys...I really really hope win 7 won't be laggy on the hd2. Win mobile 6.5 is a horrible os on the hd2. If the hd2 will continue to lag on the win 7, I might as well switch to the evo with Android!

i dont experience any lagging six months with my HD2. you might want to try different roms.
as per Win7, nothing shows today that an upgrade will be available. and if so, HD2 processor meets MS requirements.

Very interesting... to hope for.

However, please correct me if i'm wrong: Android 3.0 requires 512 MB RAM, HD2 has only 448MB (as HTC shows that on her website). Would it be possible to force Android 3.0 onto HD2?

That's been proven incorrect many times. Or, if not incorrect, the source was making stuff up. If it does have 512mb requirement, it's a lucky guess more than anything.

lol you need a new radio for get 576 of ram xD....

No. You need a T-Mobile US HD2. Those come with 1GB ROM and 576 MB RAM. The Euro versions (HTC Leo) do not come with those specs. The HTC site is correct on the specs for HD2 for most markets. Only the T-Mobile version has the higher-end specs, though.

I'm willing to bet the reason why HTC will not release WP7 on the HD2 is precisely because the hardware specs are "fragmented." The US HD2 exceeds the hardware requirements (but has too many buttons). The HTC Leo (Euro Version) Lacks RAM and ROM for WP7 requirements, IIRC. It would suck to have a bunch of people bricking their phones or something because they released a T-Mobile US WP7 ROM and everyone tried to install it onto their Leos...

The Radios for TMobile US phones will work in Leos, I think, but a Radio ROM cannot install extra RAM hardware into a phone. No, you won't get more RAM just because you installed an *.*.50.* Radio ROM in your phone.

Lol...
