We really should have a proper on-device registry browser and editor, though... was kind of hoping somebody would use my libraries to develop one, because it'll be a while before I have enough free time to do it myself.

I am tech savvy however how would one do this please? Any instructions?
Ugh the taps talk adds extra lines for no reason.

Anyways, go to settings, then WiFi. Click on whatever network you are on, then type that IP address into either UC Browser or Internet Explorer.

It doesn't help that my last reply was wordy and redundant, making it barely legible.

I did this and it hasn't worked. Do I need to delete my already downloaded map and maybe it will download straight to SD card?
Figured, the UseExternalStorage value is a DWORD value.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Maps\Storage
UseExternalStorage
Change from 0 to 1

Call the Interop Unlock Helper and specify that UseExternalStorage is a DWORD value. After tapping Write, ignore the Failed! message and tap Read to verify that 1 has been applied. Now restart the phone and fire Here Maps. Get the maps from there; the maps will be dl'ed to your SD card. I HAD to remove existing maps from Here Maps prior to enabling this setting, maybe this is the key.
However, Here Maps seems to have a defect were interruption in downloading map files leads to map remnants be left over in maps folder in the phone's system memory. So far I have almost 200 megabytes of map leftovers on phone's memory, which aren't used and don't show up in Nokia Here Maps. I'd appreciate if somebody could give me a clue how I could purge the app's Data storage to wipe out unused maps remnants.

Thanks for sharing the setting! This saved me line 1Gbyte of phone's storage.

    Step 3: Key should be set to "Sound".

    Step 4: Change the value of the files location to C:\Data\Users\Public\Ringtones\YourRingtoneName.mp3

    Example:
    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\EventSounds\Sounds\SMS]
    "Sound"="C:\Data\Users\Public\Ringtones\AppleSucks.mp3

    That would set a ringtone named "AppleSucks" in your Ringtone folder as your SMS tone.
