@Heathcliff74 ?
Root access + Mass Storage on NL520. Using WPI1.0, FFU from WDRT, Engineering-SBL3s.zip, Lumia.zip.

-------
Anyone know?

1. Is there a known way to get Mass Storage for 640XL (RM-1062, MSM8226) and others?
2. Engineering FFU: Please, you have this @Kaptaiin ?!
3. Is compatible SBL3 available?
4. Would flashing SBL3 only for otherwise unsupported Lumias be possible using current or future WPI ?

can a retail rom acted like engineering rom? cus I can't find any for my device

RM998_3058.50000.1425.0001_RETAIL_apac_vietnam_915_01_444881_prd_signed.ffu
Nope. Selecting a retail FFU/SBL3 is the same as selecting no SBL3 at all. Your bootloader will be unlocked for custom ROM's but not for Mass Storage mode.

so I've managed to unlock my bootloader but now my phone wont turn on , i only get the power up vibration and then nothing, black screen and my computer wont recognize my phone. what should i do?
The vibration indicates that is boots at least to SBL3 and probably even past UEFI.

Try this:

- Open Windows Phone Internals tool
- Go to Flash section
- Select a stock FFU
- Connect the phone to PC
- Reset the phone

The tool should detect the phone and force it to Flash mode. You can then click the button to start flashing back to stock ROM.

@contable, I sent PM to @Heathcliff74 about fundraising details so let's wait for reply. I'll upgrade my family Lumias to 950 very soon and I'm also interested to get "jailbreak" (I believe it's more correct than interop unlock for the Heathcliff74's work) for the few reasons...

P.S. By the way, if you know some good services/sites for fundraising or already have an experience with kickstarter or similar projects - PM me your suggestions and propositions.
A Lumia 950 should be arranged soon, probably. No need to start a fundraiser for that. But donations are always welcome. There is enough software and hardware that I still like to purchase to support my work on Lumia's.

Little status update

I'm working on a couple of things:

- Fix for audio-issue in Root Access
- Support for latest Windows 10 build: 10.0.10586.29
- Fix for issue where Root Access cannot be applied on MainOS for some people
- Add support for more models

I'm making progress in all these areas. But it is impossible to predict an ETA for them. Especially for supporting more models. This needs very complex hacks. So please don't ask for ETA's. I will create a new release whenever I add significant features or fixes.

@Heathcliff74 I modified my UI.dll icons with my own icons but when I copied it into my phone, it just stuck in a black screen and it doesn't boot up. My PC still recogized it as MTP device. After that I restored that .dll with the original one but still ran into black screen. What did I do wrong?

Make sure the PE-checksum of the DLL is correct.

Try this:

- On PC open Device Manager
- Connect phone
- Restart phone

See if something happens. Adding / removing devices (very fast, maybe only flashing of the device-list). If something happens, it means your phone is recognized. You have to see what device is added and install correct drivers. Then it should be possible to use my tool. Drivers are usually installed by the "Windows Device Recovery Tool".

Hm. Weird. Try to leave it connected for at least an hour and then try again. I know that when the phone is in emergency charging mode, it is also shown as USB input device. Maybe the battery just needs some juice.
