Thanks for your input. Some things to check/try:
If that all checks out -
- As suggested earlier, check your cable or try another cable.
- Verify that USB debugging is enabled on your tablet.
- Set your USB connection to File Transfer in Settings > Connected Devices > USB.
- Check your computer under Device Manager to make sure there isn't a driver issue. The device should show up under Fire Devices > Android USB Interface with no exclamation points.
- disconnect your tablet
- go to Developer Options
- toggle off/on USB debugging
- Tap Revoke USB debugging authorizations
- Make sure your tablet's screen is on
- Plug the tablet back in to your computer and launch Toolbox.
- Your tablet should now show the option to Allow the connection
- Make sure the box to always accept is checked and accept the connection.
I've had issues in the past with ADB connections. I hope this helps. It really sounds like your cable or connector, though.
The cable is working, at least another non-amazon-device is getting detected by windows.
USB debugging is enabled.
If I switch to this page, all radio buttons are greyed out.
I don't have a Fire Devices in my Device Manager.
I use Windows 10, so normally it should handle the driver issue for me (and it did so a year ago when I first used fire toolbox; so normally the driver should still be there?)
Please advice me how to fix this.
€dit: I installed the drivers manually, but that doesn't change anything.
