@J0SH1X, does your LOS build support encryption for /data, be it FDE or FBE? Since we have to format /data from TWRP to install it, I guess that FDE is out of the question, but perhaps FBE? I'd like to test this ROM, but can't leave /data unencrypted (too many phone thefts around here...).

well it does , but i have to reenable it , by editing fstab or replacing it with the stock one after installing the rom , its located in /vendor/etc/fstab.judyln

so basicly follow all steps of the installtion guide but in the end replace fstab with stock one and boot , ur /data partition should reencrypt itself on first boot then

When trying to flash twrp with "fastboot flash recovery boot_twrp.img" I get:

Sending 'recovery' (65536 KB) OKAY [ 1.669s]
Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: 'Cannot flash this partition in unlocked state')
fastboot: error: Command failed

I am already on LineageOs (may), bu don't know any longer what I did to get twrp flashed. Could it be that I have to use "fastboot --set-active=a flash boot_a boot_twrp.img"

Stock pie was the korean version. Any ideas?

OK I understand that only twrp image needs to be flashed. But is
fastboot flash boot_a boot_twrp-june.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot_twrp-june.img
correct? or just
fastboot flash boot boot_twrp-june.img
Both commands will do it, if you only write flash boot it will pick the slot you're using automatically

I think I dont understand it fully either. If I flash twrp-june, after reboot the recovery is not present. Secondly, are we now supposed to patch twrp-june with magisk to get root? Until now I always patched the standard boot img. It is kinda confusing, so thank you for clearing that up.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you for this ROM, I am finally enjoying this device.

EDIT: I am unable to switch to high accuracy GPS mode now (latest build from today). "Device only" or "Disabled". The switch shows, but changing it does nothing and it goes to "Device only".

yup

settings > security and location > location

here, on the top are two sliders.

If I check the first (location) to ON, then it should be possible to check the second as well (saving mode).

When I do turn the second ON (which uses only wifi, cellular), location turns off completelly.

I will try to reflash later ;)

OK Google voice assistant

Is the voice Assistent working on your Phones? I cannot activate it, it says language not supported (German). If it is working on your Phones, what has to be done to fix it? (googled a while but none of the mentioned solutions worked for me)

Hey guys so I'm planning to buy an LG G7 (European Version) and have some questions.
Could this ROM working fine without flashing Gapps? (I don't want GMS to kill my battery/ram/etc. :p )
If I use stock OTA to Update to Pie, do I need to update it again with other complicated way?
Can I use DAC with Viper4Android on this ROM? (Viper samples 48kHz but QuadDAC can handle 384kHz so I just want Viper as an basic equalizer not as main sampler)
Is there any way to turn everything back to stock? (like RUU thing on HTC Devices)

Viper will set sample rate to 48k and you can't do anything.
QuadDAC can handle 384kHz, but only in few scenarios. Only Direct_pcm (which can be turned on via UAPP or "HiFi" files) and DoP (DSD over PCM), but DoP handles 176400Hz and 352800Hz and 32 bit.
Most of scenarios you are able to get up to 192kHz.
Viper will route any direct or offload stream into deep buffer mixer. Deep buffer handles 16 bit and only 48kHz samplerate (unless you will change it in 2 or 3 files).
Oh and one and the most important thing. Stock Pie ROM have troubles with loading magisk modules. I mean it's working fine, but every audio file is loaded as stock. You must kill audioserver (every reboot) to reload it and it will work.

Back to stock? No problemo. LG up + proper KDZ file and you are stock.
Here is tutorial.

Thanks for the answer dude :good: .
About that stock Pie question I meant the first step of installation of this ROM. I don't want to use LG's bloatware even with Magisk debloater module :p (Thank you LG for destroying my G4's memory with bunch of LG crap that I don't need)
