[WIP][ROM-PORT] Paranoid to sm-t210r (DEAD PROJECT)

warning installing this on your device is at your own risk!!!!, this is an early stage port by a noob(aka FIRST EVER PORT.....) i take no credit for the work thats been done by our cm 11 team or the port to make this port possible. im simply just learning to port for our device and adding some flavour and spice to our device!!

what is it?
paranoid kitkat 4.4.4 (as far as i know its working for SM-T210/R)

what roms did i use for this port? (May change during source build)

the big question, whats broke?/working?
you tell me..... most things should be working that is working in our cm build beta 3 ( i hope) and a few more things broken from the port rom check out both rom pages (^^^^^^^posted above^^^^^^) for more info on whats working/whats broke before posting here please!

i am taking (dev) advice where ever i can get it to improve the rom/port and re-build from scratch
like i said this is my first port so be nice.... I'm learning from piles of half built/outdated tutorials on my free time.

thanks out to all who got our device this far and lets hope it grows from here!! All thanks goes to the Rom base and port devs above and everyone in between because I'm just a casual trying to learn.

I also uploaded it directly to xda if you click download on the tabs above the Rom along with the direct link.

And as of right now its nothing more then the port itself just the files of the two roms cut and paste working .....like I said its a port in progress.
It's still mostly pa framework riding on our cm devs kernel..... the kernel source is still the kernel of cm 11. I'm having issues compiling a working kernel (my first kernel project) once I have a stable working kernel ill upload if I figure it out.....

had problems flashing. recovery said error with the update script binary so it couldn't flash the rom. should I change recovery to see if that helps I have twrp recovery..





edit: got it working with phils touch recovery but as soon as it starts up ui crashes and it doesn't seem to want to wake up or screen shuts off

Needs the latest recovery in order to boot. A clean wipe probably wouldn't hurt. Most of the vendor drivers are not working like in the cm build, so its slow working and laggy..... I'm away for the weekend so if I do any work it will be from my tablet. Going to try to start the kernel build this week when I get home.hopefully have my own device tree/kernel up this week....build permitting...

good news will change the op. ill try my best to keep both as this build forks from the cm source. Tho most of the work will be aimed at the 210R as its the device I own.

Hey I just tried this port on my galaxy tab 3. The only bugs I had with it is:

1. No Setup Wizard
2. Very slow and laggy
3.Wifi does not work no matter what

Anyways many thanks for this rom and I believe that once laufersteffenwolf recovers he will try to fix the bugs on these type of roms!

Anyways again many thanks I can't tell you how proud i am for you Rom Developers

i posted this port and havent had time lately to get to core broken features/ problems with it besides a few tweaks due to worklife, but have been picking at it when i have had time.

planing a theme update with some of the system tweaks/issue fixes sometime this month with the kernel i just built. hoping to have a link up for it this week after some more testing cycle is done to it.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to work on this, however, I may have some time this week. And @gr8nole got hwcomposer working in CM11, so I may try fixing that.
