Randomly out of nowhere my phone has started acting strange with the buttons on my headphones. Only occasionally does it skip songs like it's supposed to, sometimes it lowers or raises the volume instead and other times it does nothing at all. At first I thought it might be the headphones so I tried a new pair same problem. I tried reinstalling the software on the phone same problem. Tried using a different player app same problem. It never used to do this before and strangely works perfectly fine sometimes. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this and have any ideas or solutions? Thanks for your time ?

I ran into this on my prior phone (Droid Maxx). It turned out the headset port went bad...likely something got into it and damaged it or otherwise prevented a good consistent connection. You could try to see if there is any dust or particles inside the port and see if you can clean it out. Likely another reason Bluetooth headsets seem to be the way of the present and future....good luck!

Thanks I'll give it a shot. Issue I have with my Bluetooth is they die too fast. I work 10 hr shifts and they don't survive the whole time lol.
Yeah - battery life always key...I just got an email announcing the new Jaybird headset...I have the Jaybird X3s and I get 8 hrs and they are great for running. You might want to look into the below...reviews seem to be good. But they are newly announced too.
