Using Google Express you can get an additional $9 off with 20% off code. Picked one up for $32
I couldn't find it on Google Express website. It only shows the full price through the Google store. The best buy website shows the right price but no Google Express checkout link.

Edit:
Nevermind, I found it by downloading the Google Express app.

Anybody knows, if regular QI charger (5W) is still capable of charging (although slowly) the device in use (GPS navigation, screen with high brightness)? Or does the battery level go down?

Yes, definitely. For me, stats are as follows:
- Phone idle, screen off. Wireless charging current is 700-750 mA.
- GPS on, navigation app (Waze) running, Torque OBD in background: Still able to charge with 200 to 450 mA, depending on screen brightness.

i used navigation this weekend for thanksgiving, and my Scosche worked.. slowly.. but didnt actually gain any charge while using navigation. kept it levelish..

but, my car charger that i got from verizon, did work better, and charged when plugged directly into the phone

I have a doubt. I have a mate 20 pro and im thinking switch to the pixel 3. anyone knows if i can make the pixel 3 super charging (around 18W, i think) with the mate 20 pro super charger (40W)? i dont mean do the supercharge of the mate 20 pro on the pixel but just make the normal pixel 3 fast charging. if anyone knows or can test i would be really thankfull and apreciate it. thanks

Strange behavior of wireless charging - Pixel 3

Before I've got original Pixel Stand, I used generic wireless charger. No surprises, it chargers P3 slowly. But there is more. Sometimes it doesn't charge P3 at all. Way more strange, that almost the same behavior I have with Pixel Stand. After some days I began to suspect there is a regularity - the charge at full speed works with at least 85% of charge at phone. If the charge is lower, the possibility the charge would be at rapid speed is pretty low. It can claim it charges rapidly, but in fact it doesn't charge at all, since the charge is going down at the same rate as phone out of any charging. I definitely have relatively small statistics and can not say for sure that 85% is a "red line" for triggering wireless charge start (regardless of speed in my case). Today even at 91% phone battery wireless charging at Pixel Stand didn't start at all (with "charging rapidly" announcement at screen and slowly discharging phone). Other functions of Stand work pretty good regardless of what's going on with charging. I didn't contact Google Customer Service since the results are unstable.

Is anybody has similar experience or bigger statistics? I think, the problem is in the Pixel 3 itself - something is wrong with its handshake with Stand or other charger since in my case it behaves in that regard similarly at both chargers. I ordered a couple of generic wireless charges from aliexpress before I've got my hand on Pixel Stand and continue my research (for slow charging or just charging) to be more consistent with overall behavior of charging process of P3.

The Pixel Stand was bought from Verizon online store, Pixel 3 - from Google online store, last update is Security patch Nov 5, so it's current. The chargers are original, from the box of Stand and phone, both charge phone at full speed through cable.

Beware of Skynet - gadgets shouldn't be too smart!

Just wondering what wireless chargers everyone is using.
Seeing that the Pixel Stand is so expensive. I've opted to use my Samsung Fast Wireless charging stand as my main charger, but noticed that my old Nokia DT-900 charger (back from my Nexus 5) still manages to show "charging rapidly" on my Pixel 3, so I have it as an extra charger for my living room.

So what chargers are you guys using or what do you recommend?
There are many brands of wireless chargers. There is no need to buy Samsung brands, such as CHOETECH, Anker, Belkin, etc., all of which are cost-effective products, but also need to see how much your demand is, and is a vertical wireless charger. Still a wireless charging pad. More than 7.5W have fast wireless charging function, and vertical charging is currently popular. Currently, only CHOETECH has the advantage of the price on the vertical and wireless charging board, which can save you money and is free shipping. Anker and Belkin are relatively More expensive, if you need, you can go to their official sales website ichoetech.com to buy, I hope to help you!

If you can help, please click on Thanks!

I hate Google for limiting the ability of 10W

I hate Google for limiting the ability and also not providing any normal alternatives by taking their time to verify other wireless chargers but their own and Belkin's which can also be bought only through their store and not even from Belkin themselves.

The only thing that bothers me about my Pixel 3.

Shame shame shame.

I have purchased the Anker PowerWave 10W Wireless Charger, which advertises 10W of charging (at least for compatible Samsung devices). I decided to purchase this one due to two reasons, knowing that this one won't be able to quick charge my Pixel 3.

First, I wanted a wireless charging pad/stand. Second, I don't want to use the regular quick charging cable or any other quick charging solution to charge my Pixel 3 over night. Quick charging is indeed a burden for the battery in the long run due to the corresponding physics behind it. Also, why do I need quick charging if I won't use my phone during the night at all? If I need some quick charge during the day, I will use the supplied quick charge cable.

This setup (wireless charging during night time, quick charging (if required) during daytime) does fit my needs very well.

I also have some Tasker actions set up that trigger as soon as the phone is charging wirelessly and also in an upright position, so I also have some advanced Google Stand capability, tailored to fit my needs.

Just using on of those cheap standing ones from eBay for like 6 bucks, I use it during the night before going to sleep and in the morning battery is full. Sometimes I use it as standing for like watching a movie and charging at the same time...all good
