I hate Google for limiting the ability and also not providing any normal alternatives by taking their time to verify other wireless chargers but their own and Belkin's which can also be bought only through their store and not even from Belkin themselves.

The only thing that bothers me about my Pixel 3.

Shame shame shame.
Yeah, this is one of the few upgrades that the Pixel 4 got - works with any EPP charger. All I can guess is that EPP wasn't a finished standard when Google finished the Pixel 3.

I have a question. Will all the "fast" wireless chargers that list 10W compatibility with Samsung phones, also work at 10W with the Pixel 3?
No. For the Pixel 3 they must specifically be Pixel 3 compatible. That is the Pixel stand and possibly 1 belkin charger.

For the Pixel 4, any charger that has Qi EPP (which is different from the Samsung method) will work, but not with the Pixel 3.

All those Samsung and Apple fast chargers are dead to us, as they use a proprietary process. Over time, hopefully Qi EPP will take over as the common standard.

Sorry, I realize I answered a year-old question. Wasn't paying attention...

Good info though. Thanks.

does this means until now still the Google Pixel Stand is the only wireless charger that charge 10w? also the Belkin which is also expensive, no cheaper alternatives?
but how slow is 5w? takes how long to full charge the pixel 3 with 5w? thanks

I've been using my old 5W Nexus charger with my Pixel 3 since the beginning. It's fine. I typically put it on the charger at bedtime, and it's always charged in the morning. I suspect it takes around 3 hours, but I don't know for sure.
