The Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit case does work with the official G3 wireless charging dock (WCD-100) in my experience. It will throw that "Charging slowly" message but after the latest software updates (currently on 10h) I've found it does charge rather reliably and will not beep or error again once you dismiss the initial warning.

(One tip I have found to ensure reliable charging is to place the device down to charge while the device is unlocked, dismiss the error message by tapping the screen and then waiting a few seconds before locking the device by tapping the status bar)

I can second this (firmware v10i F460S). My WCD-100 gives the slow charging message even without a case anyway so I just dismiss it. My phone charger fairly fast on the charger and my Spigen ultra hybrid also works with said charger. The slim armor does not charge very well if at all wirelessly on any of my qi chargers.

How quickly does the WCD-100 charge the phone compared to the wall charger and are you using the wall charger to power it? Thanks.

It's almost as fast and I prefer it hands down over plugging in my phone. The angle of the charger is also nice for viewing when my alarm goes off. Below is a screenshot of it wireless charging from 12% and the predicted time to a full charge.

Thanks, just ordered one. I'm going to use my Anker to power it so I can use it on my table in the middle of my lounge.

I will use on Anker 9000mAh batter for it on occasion. I would make sure you plug it into the "apple" port or which ever one supports 2.1A or it wont charge properly.

Case: Insignia Softshell
Qi Sticker from eBay
Koolpad Qi Wireless Charger

Just got the charger today, looks pretty nice. Had to fiddle with my sticker a little bit, but now it's all good to go. Haven't had any of the slow charging messages pop up yet.

So has anyone been looking into wireless chargers with overcharge protection? I would really like to take advantage of them existing with wireless charging technology.

I found this. It looks nice, sounds nice and I am definitely very interested. Maybe someone has bought it before? A little photo for those not curious enough to click on the link and maybe to attract some attention to my post :p

It looks nice but that's more than I paid for my LG WCD-100. I don't think there is a qi charger that exceeds 1A to the phone currently. I wonder how the build quality compares.

Well its $12 more than I found a WCD-100 for, but if its of similar quality and cuts off charging, it is well worth it. I cant find any reviews on it sadly though. Im wondering if I might have to be the dummy :/
Usually when they invest in a quality look, there is some investment in quality as well. So has been my experience... Though Im sure its no absolute rule.

I've been trying to decide between the WCD-100 and a Zens Universal charging plate.
The Zens is costlier but it too cuts charging. It also comes with a charger and it has 7 coils in it (most I've found in UK have 3)
Now I have to include the one you linked.
From the pics it looks nicer than the WCD 100(at least for our dark phones) , I like the soft touch rubber where you place the phone. And it too cuts off charging.
But it's an unknown quantity for me
I'm going to try to find out about it before I make my decision.

Yeah, they seem to standardly come with 3. What is the advantage of 7?

The advantage of the upright dock is that the phone faces you. Though sometimes you want the phone to face you without charging it. Its healthy to use a battery, not constantly have it topped up. Of course you can easily disconnect it or switch it off, but that is not exactly a user friendly way... A switch would be great!

I'm assuming, and it's only an assumption, that the more coils would give you a larger charging area. So my next assumption would be that the larger charge area would help negate having to place your phone precisely on the charger to get it to work.
It's all a guess by me and ultimately I'm a little dubious about the effects of constant topping up of the battery if you pop the phone down on the pad after every use.

I'm still happy with the two Tylt wireless chargers. I gave one to the wife since she kept dropping her cord behind the bed. lol As far as worrying about the battery I switch phones a lot so I don't worry about that. I have sleep apnea so my phone usually doesn't stay on the charger for that long. lol

Yeah, trouble is, I've only seen Tylt for around £70 in the UK. If anyone has seen them at better prices, it would be good to know.

i just received my qi sticker and lg back-plate plus my genuine wcd-100 charger. now I must say I LOVE IT. Charging is insanely fast. only problem i have found is that when using any of my 3 cases spigen slim armor, rinke thin case and ghostek case from ebay. i get the charging slow message. once i take off the case the phone charges beautifully !
