I need to access my files on my windows notebook from my sensation. There are a few guides about this on the web iknow, but they are all for ones who have a wifi router and both phone and computer connected to this network. But i want to access my files without a router. Is there a way to do that?

Well, consider making up a WiFi Hotspot, then connect to it using your notebook; afterwards, install Monect and then you're good to go!
Monect is awesome, simply awesome! But note that it has a desktop server version as well.

Have you thought about using cloud storage? Try Dropbox, Copy (see my sig) , and Google Drive are some of the decent ones, and all three have a native Android app.

Of course, but it isnt useful for me to stream movies etc.via cloud storage. I also will need a fast and unlimited internet connection then.

You said you didn't want to use a ROUTER in your original post, had I known you mean you just had no INTERNET connection, then I could have easily answered your question! Haha :)
I don't mean i don't have internet connection. I don't have a fast internet connection enough to use cloud storage.

Btw monect forces close on the phone when i click search or connect. Vipers 1.6.3 :(

You can be sure that something is wrong.
Did you try to fix permissions?

Ok, reinstalling solved that. Monect works very good, but it works via an access point.

BTW, I tried many times the es file explorer method, which I successfully used before, but now it does not find my pc on the network. This will be more useful for me as it seems there's no way to connect without a router. Yes Monect now works, but it downloads videos first in order to watch which I don't like.
