Wireless G vs. N and Battery Drain on Superclean 2.8

So I have run every version of Superclean for froyo and I was getting very inconsistent battery drain when I connect to my home wifi vs. my business' wifi.

So at home I run Wireless G and on Superclean 2.8 voodoo I can leave wifi on full time w/ sleep policy set to "never" and the phone performs pretty darn well. I don't have a noticeable difference in battery life on 3g vs. wifi G at home.

So at work I have a wireless N router and every damn day I have tried different configurations w/ my phone while connected to wifi and the thing just drains crazy fast. when I check my connections I see that my link speed is 72 Mbps with full signal. I have no idea if our phones can connect at full Wireless N speed, but for sure I get up to 72 Mbps which is definitely faster than the 56 Mbps I get on wireless G.

Does anyone think that Wireless N could be an enormous source of battery drain vs. the older Wireless G?

I should make a video. You can stare at it when connected to wireless N at work and the thing drops a percent every couple minutes. At home it's a nice slow drain when connected to my wireless G.

I've found disabling Google location services tends to improve battery life a lot when wifi is enabled but not connected to my home wireless g. (No connection) Perhaps it would also make a difference when connected to wireless n. Seems Google location services is abusing wifi on these froyo roms.

The fact that you're getting 70-something megabits a second simply makes me jealous.

Odd issue, though. I wouldn't THINK the faster connection would drain more.
