i have used total commander to replace the original file. unfortunately, i cant even replace the file using this software after i hard reset my phone.

any other similar software as total commander?

or

can anybody giv me proper instruction on how to copy new welcome head using total commander.

Use "Resco File Explorer"

I like your screens they do rock....

I have also a question, I see with your Xperia 1i WM 6.5, you did the hard stuff first, and then installed the Touch it v9...great, but, where I am confused if after.....

when installing the Touch-IT, do we need to install also, the ActiveX deployment, the SDKcert Xperia, the Diamond ATI_3dd_driver, the dotNet FX 3.5 or not?

Perhaps, my post is not at the good place, and, if so, just tell me....

but how did you replace the welcomehead? total commander says file ... cannot be deleted. i cant rename it and i cant cut it out. if i copy my welcomehead in windows, it says file already exists. what now??

relax... if u ask me s.times it's complicated to use t. commander. i myself was using it b4 & had enough with it. i recommend resco explorer;the easiest way to transform your boot up screen.

I meant to post this earlier, but I lost the thread and never did enough digging until now...that boring stuff aside, attached is my own welcomehead.192.png image which is based on the Vista background, and sharp "Windows Mobile" text. I left out version numbers so that you can use this on your fancy new WinMo 7 devices

Since the original, non-custom WM 6.5 boot screen hasn't been posted in this thread yet (and I haven't seen it anywhere else), I'm just gonna post the stock boot screen here in case anyone else wants it.

These are from the recently released official MS WM 6.5 emulators.
