there never wad an HP 6.0 ROM when i had an hx4700, id there one now?
I have an HX4700 with wm2003se and i would like to upgrade it to wm5 or wm6 . But before that i would like to ask some opinions about that. It is worth or not??? Or waht is the best rom, the on in this thread: WM6 for HP iPAQ 4700 (kozhura Edition)?
It will work my wifi, bluetooth? Or if something goes wrong how can i backup my previous wm2003se? I'm a noob so please forgive me for so many questions!
Thanx in advance for any kind of answer.
I flash up and after gettinf the "Code entry point unknown" message did a soft reset as per post on here. Got the HP screen stating 2.01 after five minutes of non-activity pressed soft reset whereupon it switched off, won't switch on again and wont charge. Its as if the whole machine has been fried!I ttaken out the backup battery and put in back in again.
My only hope is that something is actually happening and if I leave it long enough it will spring to life so I've left it charging.
Anyone encountered this tale of woe?
In addition, I'm planning to use the SD card to run all my programs, and use the CF slot for other miscalleneous storage.
paying extra for these type of cards is a waste of money as the device can not use the speed. normal speed cards are quite fine and cheaper..
What's your suggestions for running programs, should I use the SD or CF card for running programs?
Also, what speed of SD or CF card should I purchase?
Again, thanks for your help.
Heads up!!! It looks like a new rom is out at PDAVIET. CE OS 5.2.1933 Build 185126.96.36.199 No download link yet, but if your interested in testing keep checking. To bad the posts are not in english. Check it out.
Well how long have I owned my Ipaq! - about 4 years (when they were first released),
How long have I known about this mod - about 4 days!
Just flashed my 4700 and everything is great. Amazing speed and it feels like I have a new PDA (i was going to get a new one for christmas, now there is no need).
Tomtom works well as does WIFI and Bluetooth (i have used WPA no probs) only thing I have noticed is the battery drains more, is this me or what??
