I know (and am using) VLC can access the WMA music I've ripped from CDs (a tech wonk told me in the 90s that it was superior audio, I'm not re-ripping hundreds of CDs even if that's not the case), but I've grown used to using Google Play Music for playing music on other (Samsung, HTC) devices that have a WMA codec built in.
Without full support for the WMA codec, the system indexing of WMA files doesn't occur: the artists, albums, etc. don't show up as existing, even in VLC (I browse by folder).
Are there any solutions that would fix this, other than converting my audio?
